Not receiving full internet potential and bridging with Netgear router

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm Dontay I've recently purchased a Netduma. I love the router by the way! Although I'm having a difficult time getting the full potential of my internet. My download speed is about 130 Mbps and up load 5 Mbps. With the Netduma I'm receiving 38mbps download Mbps and 3mbps upload. Also, I have another router that I've been trying to bridge it with. It's a Netgear Nighthawk x6. Without bridging the two together I still get a low result, how can I fix this problem and bridge the two routers? With just the Nighthawk alone I get the full 130mbps. I want that for the Duma , I would highly appreciate the help. Because I love you guys product!! Thank you

Hey, welcome to the forum!

I would recommend the following setup: ISP modem/router > Netduma > Nighthawk (AP mode). That way you get all the benefits of the Netduma as well as the AC WiFi from the Nighthawk.

In regards to your speeds follow:

  • Reactive Algorithm
  • 100% anti-flood
  • Share excess enabled
  • Reset device prioritisation & apply
  • Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc
  • Disable deep packet in misc
  • Enable turbo mode (if you don't get 130mbps without it)
  • Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds.
  • Do a wired speed test from a PC
