baremetal
so after a day of tinkering I decided to reset everything and start fresh, along with turning my ISP modem/router into a bridge. after successfully doing the bridge conversion, I connect via both cat5 and wifi, and there is no internet. the Netduma was totally reset using the paperclip button method. what can I do to fix this? BIG__DOG
you may have to input your pppoe login details into the netduma wan settings.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 6, 2017 Administrators Share Posted April 6, 2017 Could be above or that you need to reboot the R1. Also would not advise factory resetting using the button, do so from miscellaneous settings.
baremetal
perhaps...I searched a little deeper for directions to setting up the Actiontec MI424WR as a bridge. one of the last steps requires me to swap MAC addresses between the Actiontec and the Netduma. seems easy enough. question, will the Netduma still work if the MAC address changes? if Verion thinks the Netduma is the Actiontec, would there be any problems with the Netduma geofilter or any other capability? I posted a follow-up question regarding MAC addresses in this thread, hope you could answer, thanks Fraser!

Yes I don't foresee issues for either of your questions
