LB25
Iam new to the Netduma family. I have a Comcast all in one modem. I was hoping I could plug the Netduma in the back of my modem and run the ethernet to my ps4 and roll. Is that possible? I have a good connection already just looking for it to be even better. Iam not real good yet with the bridges and dmz's and that sort of stuff. I have done alot of reading about it but Iam a little worried about getting into my modem admin and messing something up. If any of you could give me some help I would really appreciate it. Im a really good COD player on PS4 and looking to get over the top with the crazy lag that you get in certain lobbys. Any help would be really great. Thank you

We will be able to help you ofcorse, but alot of it is going to be trial and error to find your 'Best' settings!

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 10, 2017 Administrators Share Posted March 10, 2017 Hey, welcome to the forum! As I mentioned through your offline message I would recommend turning off the WiFi on the Comcast. This way ALL devices will be connected to the R1 so you can utilise congestion control, otherwise if not everything is connected then the Netduma cannot control them. If you just want to use the Geo-filter then you could set it up how you mentioned.

If you still want to use their modem though or if you have to use it due to having their other services like phone... You should call them and have them put your modem into bridge mode which will disable all the router features of it, letting you use your own router without any problems. You'll still have weird ping issues though with their all in one modems even in bridge mode..... Take it from me, I'm a Comcast expert...
