Jabbo
Netduma Team, how often are the cloud servers updated when left on "auto-cloud." I ask because I play alot of Halo 5 and sometimes it seems like I'm definitely connecting to a west coast server even though it may show up on the map at Iowa or Texas. It is not just a bad performing server, it is identical to me turning off host filtering and playing on west coast servers when the map does detect them. If you play H5 online any you know that its obvious when you are on a "laggy" server as it begins to effect the responsiveness of your aimer/reticle. Should I turn off auto-cloud and set the 3 options to one of the numbers in the list for it to be more updated?
BIG__DOG
i don't know about halo but I play COD. If I have issues with servers I disable cloud and bleeding edge save then re enable them and save. Then I leave it a few mins then search for a lobby. I think the cloud is updated every tuesday but not sure.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 23, 2017 Administrators Share Posted February 23, 2017 It really depends on how many things we have to change/add/if the community has given any ideas/indicated there are issues. You should be on bleeding edge cloud as well as that's where they go first. If you provide me with the ID of that server I can check it's location & then move if necessary. Jabbo
If you provide me with the IDs I can move them. I will try to remember the ones I play on like this. But I see that Azure actually lists all their public IP's by datacenter location...is there a way for you to import that into the DB?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 24, 2017 Administrators Share Posted February 24, 2017 Yes that's right. For them to all be in the correct location someone else needs to do that, I can't do that part so I'll converse with them.
