beermunster Posted February 13, 2017 Share Posted February 13, 2017 I've had this router for about a year now, and gotta be honest its given me no end of pain. The web interface looks lovely when it works , but when it doesn't be prepared for much frustration... When you start configuring a VPN other than HMA you get no end of hassle , VPN tab lock ups, etc. I maybe wrong , but it appears to put everything behind the VPN regardless of wether I've enabled/disabled the devices. And once the VPN tab goes into cyclic death state , the only solution is to reboot the router ( if you are lucky) or factory reset, ....i've had to do the latter 6 times in the last hour. Also I can save a profile / export a profile , but my custom profile never appear in the load profile drop down. So I thought Id export my profiles in order to be able to import them ...... nope "invalid file" error ....great. Desperately hoping there is an update soon that addresses some of these issues....or its going in the bin ALSO ...as a fellow software engineer why are you running debug versions of the software on the retail machines? mine states its running R1 debug version running on rb-951g02hnd, are you following the Microsoft school of user testing ? Just a question for customer feedback, as you've had it for a year what made you only make a post now? As we likely would have been able to resolve your issues much sooner than now. Only the device you select goes behind the VPN. I believe the reason the VPN goes weird when you're using a config is because of the resolv retry infinite line, factory reset and take that out of your config you shouldn't have that issue again. If you let us know what config you're using we can ensure it will work if you haven't got it working already. You have to scroll to the bottom of the load profile list as that is where it will be, is it not there at all? Can you screenshot the invalid file error please as I haven't encountered that. DumaOS is currently in development and will blow our current firmware out of the water. It shouldn't be a debug version, rather just that line hasn't been changed since the early days. Given these are some of our least used features we are recommended based on our congestion control & Geo-filter which significantly improves your online experience.
