Rmorello
First off thank you for a great product. I just have two questions reguarding setup. I have two xboxs that my fiance and I share on the same network. When I first setup the netduma it prompted me with the question of and download speeds. I have comcast wired connection and I pay for 150 down and 20 up. But when I do the speed test through dslreports or any other speed test it gives me 40 down 10 up. This test is done without any other devices connected besides my labtop hardwired into the netduma. I had put the 40 down and 10 up initially and I have had various results. I just want to make sure I am inputting the correct values. My second question is since we have two xbox ones on the same network, do we need to apply any specific congestion control settings? We just play Black ops 3 and we were trying to maximize our settings so we could have better hit detection. Thank everyone for your help in these matters it is greatly appreciated! Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted January 26, 2017 Netduma Staff Share Posted January 26, 2017 Hey, welcome to the forum! For your speeds and the best Black ops 3 experience try inputting these settings: - 1000km Distance - 50ms Ping Assist - Strict Mode On - Reactive Algorithm - 70% anti-flood - Share excess enabled - Reset device prioritisation & apply - Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc - Disable deep packet in misc - Enable turbo mode - Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds. Let me know if those settings help you out!
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 27, 2017 Administrators Share Posted January 27, 2017 Hey, welcome to the forum! If you put your bandwidth speeds in at 150/20 and follow Jacks suggestions, except putting anti-flood at 100% you should get full speeds. Make sure to use 70/70 when gaming or there is heavy use of the internet though.
