kyle42903
Hello, I will start by saying this is not the first time this has happened. I get frequent power surges as of late which causes a momentary loss of power and thus a restart of the routers in my home. I posted on twitter the last time this happened and i thought it was resolved with an update to my browser. Here we are another outage and my upload speeds are back under 200kbs from the usual 85mbs. I followed the optimization post and none of my settings were changed however the speeds are still low. Fraser recommended a browser update the last time and there currently isn't one available. This is extremely annoying The firmware is the latest version normal speeds are 80/80 The following is done Just double check everything from this list: Reactive Algorithm 100% anti-flood Share excess enabled Reset device prioritisation & apply Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc Disable deep packet in misc Enable turbo mode Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds. Do a wired speed test from a PC current wired speed test is 88.43mbps down and 0.37 up. Please look into this.
omega4
When I used to get power outages (this is before I bought a Netduma router), I also suffered from some internet speed loss. I found that I had to unplug/re-plug both my modem and wireless router to get back to full internet speed.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 22, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 22, 2016 Have you got a surge protector you would be able to plug the Netduma into? Try the above suggestion from omega and let us know if that resolves your issue.
ColonicBoom
If everything is set up correctly on the Netduma then you need to run a speed test direct from the modem / isp hub. If that is slow then you know it's nothing to do with your Netduma. If that's normal then you need to post up all of your settings so that we can see what's what. Also, have a word with whoever supplies your power / wired your house.
