Brody6762
Hi guys, Iv just purchased a r1 router and need some help setting it up. My main home hub / router is downstairs in my living room and i am using a power line adaptor from the first port in my hub leading to the 2nd power line adaptor upstairs in my gaming room. I then have the Ethernet cable going from the power line adaptor to the first port in a d-link router which i then have connected my pc, xbox and ps4. am I rite in thinking i just replace the d-link router with the r1 and plug it all in the same or will the power line adaptors effect the set up? Thanks in advanced
ColonicBoom
You can just replace the D-Link with the Netduma. Or you can put the Netduma in place of the D-Link and then connect the D-Link after the Netduma and use it as a switch/wireless AP. If you decide to use the D-Link as a AP make sure you disable the wifi on the Netduma, or disable the wireless on the D-Link and just use it as a switch. Brody6762
Thank you so much. I will just get rid of the d-link as was only using it to connect multiple devices but the netduma has plenty. Thanks again

Thanks again You're welcome. It's probably worth hanging onto it though. I have an Asus router after my Netduma, didn't think I'd need the extra ports until I did. Brody6762
That's true. Especially if the lads come round on our gaming night. I'll need 4 free ethernet ports so I'll keep hold of it if only for that. Thanks again
