toby jugs
o.k, so i'm moving to a brand new house on friday, virgin don't have lines there and even openreach can't supply, the place is already fitted out with fttp and i've already contacted 'see the light'(1 of only a few small providers that the property devs obviously done some kind of deal with) and had them connect the property. they already had a zte optical network terminal rigged up in the property and charged me 99 quid just to turn it on lol but that's by the by and water under the bridge. this optical network terminal thingy-bob looks exactly like a modem/router, could i plug the duma straight into it or do i need to use the router they have sent me aswell? i also would like to know if i could use the sockets in the house to hardwire or not, it looks like an ethernet cable would fit them, it's a 3 storey house(my gaming gear is all going on the top floor) and i don't want to be drilling holes in it to hard wire. i have got a powerline adapter so i can use the power sockets(all on one trip switch) if i have to though. i'd appreciate any input, after all, you guys have never let me down yet

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 13, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 13, 2016 Can't see your picture but if it's what Google says then it's an ONT and you should be able to connect the R1 directly to it.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 14, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 14, 2016 Just input your PPPoE details into the R1, other than that nothing else needs to be changed
