brucey88
hi everyone. hopefully someone can solve this issue. tried searching for the answer and suggestions haven't worked for me. i have my isp (virginmedia) plugged into the netduma, then the netduma into my laptop and wifi to my iphone. internet works fine. if i plug my isp into the poe as suggested i get no internet. it also stopped working when i put isp into modem mode, and i had to put it back other wise i have no internet to search for more answers. but main issue is i cant get to the interface.. tried 192.168.88.1 and http://r1and i get 'this site cannot be reached 192.168.88.1 took too long to respond. also tried removing the isp so its just the netduma and think it was 192.168.1.1 it said to try. same result. can open the isp settings up on 192.168.0.1 completely fine. have pressed the reset button, and tried holding it down for a long time. im completely lost haha. cheers. Slipknot31286sic6
Plug pc into only r1. Type 192.168.88.1. See if it works. If it does then obviously u need to go into your modem and dmz r1 or give static ip

Slipknot31286sic6
When u plug pc directly into netduma. By itself? I don't think u are doing this. Turn off pc. Turn on plug netduma into pc through lan. Type in 192.168.88.
BlitzOmenz
Random suggestion. Have you tried other web browsers. I don't know if it matters but maybe a setting is off in that browser or something. I use Firefox. Like I said, just a random idea that I would try through my personal trail and error. lol

brucey88
it was 100% just my pc plugged into the netduma, was working. i had already tried firefox, read that worked for others. i tried clearing the cache, and at the same time i plugged laptop into port 5 and it works.. doesnt work if its in a different port though.. is that normal? also doesnt bring up the interface if its connected by wifi, it doesnt really matter.. but surely you should be able to? BlitzOmenz
Yes, you are right. I can access it from at least two of the ports that I've tried and I used to use my phone to change settings before I realized how much harder it was. Very touchy moving sliders in congestion control and ticking box's. Netduma Fraser should be replying soon. He usually does from what I've seen. He and his tech support team hopefully will find a solution for you. Just give him time to reply. Are you saying that you connected your isp into a different port than the port 1 on the netduma to get internet? I'm not familiar with virgin media but your comment of port as suggested didn't work is where I'm getting this idea of your setup. Maybe I'm just confused but I thought you had to connect to port 1 on netduma. Sorry if I'm wrong.
brucey88
its now working, its the laptop that to access the interface only works if plugged into port 5. and wouldnt work in any other port. and internet would work through any port but not if i plugged the virgin into poe. - which now works, bit weird,
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 28, 2016 Administrators Share Posted November 28, 2016 Hey, welcome to the forum! It should definitely be setup with the Virgin hub going into port 1 and R1 connected to port 1. Good thats working now. Would recommend putting the Virgin hub in modem mode, then rebooting the R1 - you should then have internet after that. I have the same setup at home. Very strange you can only access the interface via one port. Can you connect to the internet through the other ports?
