Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 22, 2016 Administrators Share Posted November 22, 2016 Hey guys, an update for Battlefield 1. As with Titanfall 2 you can select your own servers. What does this mean? Well in short you don't need to have the Geo-filter enabled. You can still get games with the Geo-filter enabled if they cover the location of the server you're selecting. It can also be helpful in operations & quick match where you do not pick the server and thus can force the server for your region. You can of course still ping the server you get. As far as I can tell according to the server list & the Geo-filter: European servers are located in Ireland North American servers are located in California for West coast & Virginia for East coast South American servers are located in Brazil Oceana servers are located in Australia Asian servers are located in Japan EA have a lot of servers and as such it is very likely we will not have them all mapped as Dedicated servers. It looks as though any game of BF1 goes through a dedicated server so if you notice that it is not marked as such please provide us with the ID in this thread so we can map them all. As they have a lot of servers it is also likely that some will be incorrectly located - this seems to be more of an issue with the Virginia and Ireland servers which may show up in California. So if you specifically join say an Irish or US East server and it shows as being in Cali please provide us with the ID in this incorrect locations thread: http://forum.netduma.com/topic/18965-cloud-incorrect-locations/ so we can move them to the correct location. We want to try and the Geo-filter showing servers as correctly as possible even if it isn't as useful with the game. If you're having any issues let me know in this thread so I can look out for them. I have replied to the thread with the ID of a Irish server that appears on the west coast of the US.
