OverBoost Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Good morning, My adsl is 20/1 According to the guidelines........... http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/6352065 80/100 http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/6351868 80/80 My best result always is 80/100!! Also move only one percentage (es, 99%) point of upload my result it is less. I have performed various tests in 24h.... It is nonsense.....but it is! Why? edit: http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/6353037 80/100 with 24/24 streams!!! remember i have "only" 20/1 Adsl!!
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 21, 2016 Administrators Posted November 21, 2016 I think I understand your issue, preemptive algorithm is a bit more conservative. You should not see as much drop in speed on reactive. If you are trying to find the best bufferbloat settings for you I wouldn't worry as 70/70 should mean you won't have any local congestion.
OverBoost Posted November 21, 2016 Author Posted November 21, 2016 I talk of bufferbloat ,not speed. Read here: Why my best bufferbloat's result is with 100% upload?
ColonicBoom Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 It's probably because your upload bandwidth is quite low, so it can become easily saturated.
