Etherealize
Hi I'm with BT infinity and I'm wondering which is a preferential way of connecting the Netduma. Would I get a optimal connection letting the Duma handle the PPOE connection? Or is it better to put the Duma into the dmz of a home hub or other router and let that handle the PPOE authication? Many thanks in advance.
BIG__DOG
turn off wifi, upnp and advanced upnp (i think that is what it is called) and put the duma into the dmz, that is what i did. Use duma wifi and upnp.
Etherealize
I assume by going the dmz route is there no chance of double NAT?
BIG__DOG
i do not think so, but i found by putting the netduma in the dmz i had a very smooth gaming experience. I have had no major issues at all.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 10, 2016 Administrators Share Posted November 10, 2016 Hey, welcome to the forum! You could go with the PPPoE router if you want - can be some speed issues if you have above 100mbps. DMZ route is absolutely fine, just follow BIG__DOG's advice
