BIG__DOG Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 the netduma does make gaming better when it is set up correctly, people think you just plug it in and away you go, but that is not the case, some networking knowlage is needed. Have you given your xbox a static ip in dhcp?, if not then that is what you need to do for starters. Does your netgear have a dmz (usually in advanced or firewall section of the netgear gui. I know it is frustrating if you are not sure what you are doing and hopefully we can get to the bottom of this for you.

BIG__DOG Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 patience is important, netduma is a very small company with a few staff, not a huge 1 such as netgear or asus and relies on it's forum members to help and assist when possible. Having said that I am very glad you got your issue sorted.........Frasers suggestion and mine probably worked but if you expected it to take effect while your xbox was still on then it will not work as it would take a reboot of your console to get you an open nat. Most people expect something to work with little fuss and knowledge of how to configure something but regarding networking that is not the case. I also suggest you watch sim's video on jitter (bufferbloat) and how to controle it as I usually promote it to those i think it could benefit.........................................BD
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 16, 2016 Administrators Posted October 16, 2016 Apologies, though I was on I was juggling about 5 different tasks. I very rarely do a 1 on 1 on the spot. I need some notice to schedule it. Happy to hear your issue has been resolved
