spenn
I purchased the NetdumaR1 about 2 months ago. I'm on the 6h version. I'm running it as the only router. We have about 8 devices. The Xb1 and the PS4 are both wired to Netduma. However, my speeds are awful. I have TWC ultimate at 300dl 20up. When running speedtest through modem the speed is there. When wired via Netduma the latency goes crazy and the download speeds drop to around 1mbps. I've tried every change with Netduma and ran speeds via ethernet (on pc and both consoles). I've set the bandwith in Netduma done all the normal 'optimize settings'. Turned off deep packet processing, ip6v. I've tried turbo, super turbo. I've set congestion controls (when super wasn't on). I'm at a loss. I've purchased 3 separate modems. The latest modem is the TPLINK TC7620. No matter what I do I can't get this to work. Gaming is lagging and streaming isn't working. Lots of buffering. I want to use this router but my frustration has grown tremendously. Please let me know what information I can provide.
BIG__DOG
are you running reactive mode? is the netduma in the tplink's DMZ? check there are also no ip address conflicts.
spenn
Yeah. Set bandwidth to 300/20. Reactive is ticked. I've tried both options. I know preemptive is for lower speeds but neither has worked. Everything appears to have it's own IP in device manager. TPLINK 7620 is modem only. Netduma is connected direct to it. XB1 and PS4 are both ethernet to Netduma. PSVue hardly plays, Netflix hardly streams. speeds every now and then are okay, but not for long. I've reset, hard booted all. Checked IPs. Changed DNS. Feels like I've done it all.
Slipknot31286sic6
U must have super mode ticked to get 300 and cc at 100/100. Tho gaming will be bad.
spenn
I've done the super tubo disabling the cc but that still doesn't work. So far, no luck with all settings.
Slipknot31286sic6
I've noticed 2 other ppl having g problem with twc and netduma. After 3 speed tests goes to crawl to get their 300. Guy swapped out 3 modems. Must be netduma and twc I know it's not modem I have same one and it's awesome works perfectly. Almost no jitter at 98/98 cc PS why u paying for ps vue lil lone cable when u can get it all free?
spenn
Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if it is twc and Netduma aren't compatible but Ive seen others use the combo on the forums. I picked up Psvue with Red zone to stop paying twc $200 a month. The net alone with PSVUE was much more cost effective. So far, I'm not seeing any other option but to switch routers. Slipknot31286sic6
PS vue and red zone a waste when all free online. Jus a scam lol. Only seen like one person get cm600 working in twc with 300 Meg. Other person tried same modem and couldn't get working. Try different router see if speed drops to a crawl after speed tests
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 10, 2016 Administrators Share Posted October 10, 2016 For your speeds: Reactive Algorithm 100% anti-flood Share excess enabled Reset device prioritisation & apply Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc Disable deep packet in misc Enable turbo mode Enable super turbo mode Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds. spenn
Hi Fraser. I've done that multiple times after reading through the forums and optimized settings. The speeds may hold up temporarily but then everything starts buffering. Devices end up buffering while streaming or gaming. Yesterday I hooked up my modem direct to my Xbox and the problems aren't there but I am missing my geofilter! Any other ideas outside the standard? spenn
Also, only when I run a wired speedtest.net through Netduma it will usually get the 300DL, but the DL takes forever. Way longer than normal routers. It seems to start buffering whike doing the test. The next test will drop a significant amount of speed. So initially I gets it, test takes forever and then it doesn't. I'm no expert. Ideas?
