Josh Adams Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 I finally updated my router Monday night (Yes, I'm a slacker) and I've noticed I'm getting really bad lag spikes in online games. Not sure if anyone has the same issue or not. I mean COD lags all the time, but if I'm playing Madden I shouldn't experience it lol. Just curious if this is a common thing, or just operator error on my end.
ColonicBoom Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 I'm in the UK and I can play on the BO3 server just northeast of Florida without lag. No big spikes at least. Obviously yours could be a local issue though. If you just updated, have you been through all of the settings and the wiki? Because I expect there are some new settings for you compared to the previous version.
Slipknot31286sic6 Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 first go to speed test on dsl reports. check your buffer bloat, adjust cc from there, if its not A+, u got some work to do buddy.
Josh Adams Posted September 29, 2016 Author Posted September 29, 2016 Appreciate the feedback. You wouldn't believe what was the cause. Some little kiddo I played in Arena Black Ops III was attempting to repeatedly DDOS me (as I learned just now from a message on Live) because he just doesn't like me I guess. Explains why I couldn't figure out why the hell I was lagging. Thanks again for feedback! I'm in the UK and I can play on the BO3 server just northeast of Florida without lag. No big spikes at least. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 29, 2016 Administrators Posted September 29, 2016 As you have figured out the issue I will close this thread. Feel free to open another if needed.
