JConnor
There has been recent buzz on the interwebs about the possibility MWR might be a stepping stone for Activision to hedge their bets with future CoD titles by having an "alternate", on-going game series available when the newer titles are launched? The reasoning behind this is while it first appears MWR is a pre-order "bonus" for Infinite Warfare... There has been a lot of talk about Raven Software supporting the game a lot longer than any pre-order bonus would be supported. There may in fact be DLC Supply drops for skins -- Since MWR has a "weapon inspect" feature -- The possibility of adding later game modes & maps from other CoDs, and even weapons from other CoDs like MW2 and MW3. Basically, MWR may be Activision's console version "CoD:Online" which is a Chinese Only CoD MP game which includes all of the maps, weapons and game modes of previous CoD titles regardless of development studio, barring futuristic titles like AW, and BO3. One last thing, it is officially called "Modern Warfare: Remastered" and not "CoD4: MWR" which means it's an all-encompassing title, too. Thoughts? toby jugs
i like the idea of them doing something like this and continuing to support a title through add ons. bells and whistles aside though, first and foremost the game needs to run well and any issues it may have need to get sorted before a plethora of add-ons take distract them from what's important. fuzzy clam
I also like the idea of them bringing back the older titles but IMO it's not gonna make a difference as the connections people have are still shit.So I'm betting that the game isn't going to run any different than the last titles, still gonna get lobbies with 2 bars on dedi's and it's gonna fuck up the lobby. I think the games ran better 8 years ago due to the fact that everyone pretty much had the same internet and the engine could actually keep up with the games cuz it sure can't with todays titles. Like I said I'm like the idea but thing people are gonna be disappointed as there gonna expect MWR to run like it did years ago and it won't. cranium2001
I'd support it. I'm a fan of all cods and would welcome upgraded versions of everything. My biggest fear with these re-releases is I might not like the game as much as I thought I did. Side note, Black Ops 1 on the Xbox One is a blast. cranium2001
Since we're on the subject, W@W russ s great in Xbox one. Played a bit last night and no hacks to be seen at all. It's a throwback. For $9 you'd be silly not to buy it if you have an xbox one.
