Huthayfa
Hello everybody ... good morning. Since my installaton of the netduma, my Black Ops 3 gaming experience became better. today I run into small problem. I am trying to connect my netduma through PPPoE connection, I have a fibre Connection supplied with alcatel lucent I-240w-A ONT modem/router combo. I am trying to set the ONT into bridge mode and then connect the Netduma directly to the inernet, which means that public ip address will be on the duma. my isp use PPPoE user name with VLAN ID 881 for the connection , I have set the ont to bridge, put the username and password, put the VLAN TAG to 881, I had no connection to internet. any suggestions? thanks in advance. bagsta69
Have you put the user name and password into the relevant page on the PPPoE settings on the R1? It is on one of the settings tabs on the user interface. Sorry I am at work at the minute so cant check exactly which page.

bagsta69
OK, I am sorry I am not very knowledgable when it comes to modems in bridge mode etc as I simply use a stand alone modem and the R1 direct into that. I am sure somebody will be along later to help you out. Sorry. Also doesnt help me not having access to my settings to check anything.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 23, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 23, 2016 Just to make sure, you're using the username & password that is shows on it's interface under PPPoE correct? Not the user/pass to access it's interface right? If you've got that all fine then do this and see if you then have internet: Power off both your alcatel and your NETDUMA. Power up the alcatel and after one minute, power up the NETDUMA.

I just want to make sure that my device is okay and healthy thanks
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 24, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 24, 2016 Okay no worries, let us know if you want to try bridging again. Yes that is normal, the WiFi LED will not show up on the router when WiFi is on/used
osmaa1
I have the same issue from the same router i-240w-a cannot connect with bridge option I did do the same with my friend Huthayfa and it didn't work I'll give you a hint There are other modems that connect to the i-240w-a bridge option and they really make it work. If u check this site it will give u the modems and how to set up them with i-240w-a .. Im sorry the site is in Arabic however there are some pictures that help u about the modems http://www.adslgate.com/dsl/showthread.php?t=2216785 We really need the bridge on the netduma to work for that specific router if you please. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 30, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 30, 2016 There shouldn't be much difference, looks like the important settings you need can be input into the R1. I assume you reboot everything as well after changing those settings?
osmaa1
What I noticed in the other modems that they work with i-240w-a They have the option VLAN PRI which the netduma doesn't have And in the instructions it does tell us to put number 0 I hope this will help... About rebooting everything .. Im sorry it didn't work And tried to follow all different kind of steps on the forum to make it open .. Still not working.
