Guys I am gonna get a net gear router it will be my modem what changes should I do on net gear router and the netduma

if it is a modem router, connect the duma to 1 of the netgear's ethernet pourts and run everything through the netduma.....place the duma into the netgears DMZ which is usually located under advanced settings or firewall.

make sure to disable wifi on the netgear.

I disable unpnp on net gear and enable unpnp on netduma right

no, leave upnp enabled on both, but disable wifi on nighthawk

I'd reiterate everyones advice but I would disable any UPnP/port forwarding on the modem and leave R1 UPnP on.
