kesonenj Posted July 28, 2016 Share Posted July 28, 2016 So I would like to have this setup: modem > n600 router > r1 > console I'd like to use the n600 wifi access points for myself, and different r1 access point for other users and my console. PharmDawgg Posted July 28, 2016 Share Posted July 28, 2016 You are losing out on some the congestion control and device prioritization capabilities by not having it be your primary router. Also the R1 does have access point capabilities. Your better solution would be Modem>R1>N600> all other devices ( by either connecting devices directly to the R1 or to the N600 By doing this everything will feed through the R1.
