Murdoch Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Is there a way to not connect to a dedi in COD AW? I live in the Chicago burbs and nearly 100 percent of the time get connected to a dedi, but the ping is very spikey. Ranges from 10 to 20 but it up and down like a heartbeat rhythm. I tried moving my geofilter further west out of its range but it still connects to the dedi near Chicago. The hit detection is much better with the netduma but some of the other players are lagging ever so slightly. Is that ping spike range bad? Thanks.
Alex49H Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 You can't block it per say but as long as it is outside your geo filter circle you shouldn't connect to it.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted April 16, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted April 16, 2015 And you need to have strict mode disabled and ping assist on 0 to avoid connecting to it EDIT: I meant have strict mode ENABLED

Guest Netduma_Iain Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Hi Murdoch, 10-20ms is very tiny not noticeable so I wouldn't worry about that. Remember the lower the latency the more noticeable a spike is. For e.g. if your latency is 1 and you get a spike of 2 its double your graph size. As everyone said you can avoid by moving your home and keeping strict mode on. When you move your home you may want to restart the game.
talbyfish Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 the servers are crap. Every one of them. Playing p2p is so much better but finding it is a chor
