Congestion Control

Hi there all,

 

I was just wondering if any of you could help me out with my congestion control settings. I mainly play destiny online, and it seems that when i tend to leave congestion control off or leave it at 100% my ping seems to be 95% of the time green barring, but when i seem to set it at the 70 - 70 rule, i will mainly sit at yellow to green, and every now and then i will be a red bar for a couple of games.

 

My connection is a Cable 100 Mbits  down / 2 Mbits upload, can anyone suggest a ratio that may benefit my connection for congestion control

Hey Try setting it to 70/70 but then on the device prioritisation, give your console 30-40% of the upload to make sure that it has enough bandwidth.

You have plenty of bandwidth so that shouldn't be an issue but try the above please and let us know how you get on

Hi I seem to be getting alot of buffer bloat lately download set to 70% and upload usually 80 or 90% i have a 75 down and 18 up speed this gives me A+A+B with under 10 mil bufferbloat but recently been getting huge spikes over 200 even 300 foe a few secounds I reset my router re booted the duma but not helping?

How is your cable running from the duma to your modem.I had a similar issue a while back after running several days of ping plotter and my cable was bad.Replaced it and the problem was solved,this may apply to your issue but your milage may vary.

Is this spikes on bufferbloat test or ping to a game? Are all devices definitely connected to the duma? Make sure all ethernet cables are plugged firmly into the duma and try other cables as above.
