EffinFancy
Anyone noticing that they're connecting to the same server or host pretty often? I mainly play ranked play and there's one host I constantly connect to and another near San Diego, CA and Seattle, WA. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing. abc123
should be the same player then as well. maybe friends you are playing with. AW doesn't have dedicated servers yet to my knowledge.
Marvin
COD on XB1 for me as well. My results are the same as abc123, for four nights straight, using the R1, no dedicated servers that I have seen. Was another marketing ploy just to sell copies. Prior to me purchasing the R1, I would run bridged through my laptop, run a sniffer just to see if I would ever get a dedicated host for AW, never not once, since the game has been released. Additionally, for the whole year of it's cycle, never got a dedicated server on Ghost as well. The game developers/publishers are not very ... honest,
Guest Netduma_Iain
I really shouldn't comment on this. But AW definitely has dedicated servers, older CoDs do as well. Sorry to be so coy I won't tell you how to tell its a dedicated server BUT OP sounds like he is on one.

The game developers/publishers are not very ... honest, The Call of Duty games run on a mixture of listen/dedicated servers. But you're only on dedicated servers if you live close to them, I imagine most of us are on listen servers (peer to peer) I know I am.

I am not in a position to debate the subject with "insiders" I know for me, I have not been on dedicated servers for my gaming experiences with respect to playing COD. Additionally, I know dedicated servers are not the answer to the disaster that Match Making has become, your product highlights "exactly" what is the issue(s) are pertaining to connectivity. This is why I cannot thank you guys enough for providing a product that corrects the connectivity issue(s) that plague Match Making as it stands now. But you're only on dedicated servers if you live close to them, I imagine most of us are on listen servers (peer to peer) I know I am. ^^ This. I live in the Seattle area, and I know there is a set/group/stack of dedi's locally to me. I have been in great games with full four bars for everyone, late at night on the West coast, but connecting to them is rare for me. Mind you, this is experience from about three years of gaming on the 360 and XB1 on CoD titles. Before Ghosts dropped, I had a string of games for about 2 or 3 weeks were I never saw a host migration and had such hope. And then..... If this router gives me a local connection on the regular, as I suspect it will due to the shear volume of players in my area, I intend on promoting the hell out of this thing to everyone I know who plays. If the developers can't give us regional playlists, obviously dedi's aren't in the Activision budget, I'll spend my money to improve my gaming experience. I understand the stance that you "shouldn't have to" spend your money to play the game, but in my mind, I am CHOOSING to give myself a better overall experience and lower my stress & BP. I don't want you to tell me how to notice, but are there any in Australia, preferably Victoria or New South Wales you can see? I'm jonesing so badly for my R1, it's a drug I tells ya!
