TurboBaron
Hi guys So I've literally just set up my R1 and as the title suggests I'm trying to set up my R1 to be able to make use of my iPredator VPN connection. As per the support form: 1. What firmware version are you on? 1.03.6g 2. What speeds do you get from multiple speed tests? 12 ms ping, 50.97 mbps down, 11.87 mbps up 3. What is your current setup? E.g. ISP hub/modem (Specify model) > R1 > all devices Virgin Super Hub 2 >R1>Smart TV, two Xbox Ones, two PS4s, two iPhones, one iPad Mini 3, three laptops, three Fire Sticks, one Chromecast (I think that’s everything) 4. What is your specific issue? (Provide as many details as possible. If it is a lag issue include the screenshots from here in your post) Just need some help on how to go about configuring the R1 to work with an iPredator account, had a scan in the forums and couldn’t see anything. 5. Any other information (such as settings you may have previously tried). I’ve previously set up my iPredator connection on a Windows laptop using the Viscosity application. I had a look at the wiki page too but could only find the basic instructions for people using hidemyass. Can you give me a hand ? Cheers T

TurboBaron
That's great, thank you How am I best getting the files to you ? There's a couple of linux options available for me to download, which one do you need ? Gnome Network Manager / Linux Default IPredator-NetworkManager-Password.ovpn Gnome Network Manager / Linux NAT IPredator-NetworkManager-NAT-Password.ovpn Gnome Network Manager / Linux IPv6 IPredator-NetworkManager-IPv6-Password.ovpn Let me know what's best and I'll get back to you ASAP. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 27, 2016 Administrators Share Posted April 27, 2016 You can upload them here if you hit "more reply options" in the text box. Default & potentially NAT please. There should also be a .crt file as well we would need.
TurboBaron
Just tried to upload them now but I'm getting a message saying I can't upload this sort of file ? Could email them to you if that works ? Also couldn't see a .crt file anywhere in the list of available downloads ?

TurboBaron
OK, so according to the VPN section of the Netduma router admin page I've been able to connect to my VPN. However, I'm having some issues. As a test, I ticked the box to apply the VPN to my iPhone, which is connected to the Netduma network. Once I did this I was unable to browse the web on my phone (tried two different browsers), none of my apps can connect and so on. So, something clearly needs adjusting but I'm not sure where to start. Is it safe to post the VPN log here for you guys to take a look at ? Cheers dudes

TurboBaron
I had a look at the settings on my phone and the only option I could see that had an "Auto" option was the HTTP Proxy settings, when I set this to auto it didn't make any difference. Is there a different setting I need to adjust ? I also tried another device and when I tick the box to VPN one of my other laptops this starts to have problems too. On the laptop the connection to the Netduma router will be showing as active, but if I try browsing the web I start hitting error messages in Chrome / Edge etc.

TurboBaron
Sorry to be a pain but how do I connect to a different server ? Just for background, normally I don't use the VPN connection on my Mac, I'd usually use Viscosity on a Windows 10 laptop and can connect with no issues. Hi Crossy - sorted, big thumbs up thanks very much for that. I applied the config you gave me and it worked straight away on the router. Couple of clicks to apply the VPN to the various devices and now they're all showing the VPN IP address. Really pleased with that, thank you again !
