SM961
Like every morning before I go to work I use the ping diagnostic to check my line, this morning my ping was "bad" does anybody knows why it went bad around 80+ so I retest a couple times still the same. What went wrong in my eight hours of sleep?
PharmDawgg
Possible ISP issues.
Zennon
It is more usual for a line to be congested on a night when people are back from schools and work etc. If there is a line fault it can affect the line at any time I would test with ping plotter pro free for 30 days then it reverts to free https://www.pingplotter.com/download.html Type 8.8.8.8 into the target and press go do not use the line other than running the test, post back the results from a 15-20 minute test and i will have a look for you. Zennon
Your ping itself is not jiterry in that plot but it is very high. It is a respectable 18ms average at hop 9 then at hop 10 it jumps to 74ms. Have you tried another IP address to ping to in PP to see if it is the routing to the Google server causing the issue or your ISP?.

They said something is wrong with my line when I called them yesterday, I even replaced modems because I thought is was my modem that was giving me problems. Zennon
Thanks, You have a base ping of 80ms in that plot still but also jitter up to 107ms And again at hop 10 there is a major rise in ping, that is still to the Google server could you test against another IP address please. Zennon
Now that one is much better apart from the packet loss but thats on Akamai server not your ISP hops, proving that the 8.8.8.8 google server that is near you is playing up giving you the bad results you see from the Netduma. The Netduma pings 8.8.8.8 and this server is having issue's Just to make double sure can you ping another different IP

Zennon
Nothing, it mean's your connection is fine and its google server being the issue. Lets see one more PP plot from another IP first to make sure.

Zennon
No, it does not affect you one bit if it is their server. Your searches if you use Google search engine will be a bit slower and the test will show bad but it has nothing to do with how your line is operating.
