STACEY85 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Finally got everything set-up - wireless signal/ethernet cable working, open nat - after a full day and half of tinkering and asking questions, and now my geo-filter is blank. Seriously fed up guys. In desperate need of help
TEH BUTCHER Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 What console? After selecting make sure the button below it says "Disable" which means it's currently enabled.
STACEY85 Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 PS4. I've checked thatit's on disable. I've reset my modem, router, console in that order - nothing's showing up at all
STACEY85 Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 Geo-filter working now. Had to delete PS4 from device manager then re-add it. Only problem now is that my nat type has flipped from open to moderate - any ideas?!
TEH BUTCHER Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Turn geo-filter off. Restart your PS4 load the game all the way until the point where you're ready to start searching for matches. Turn Geo-filter back on wait 2 minutes then you should be good to do. Basically you want the filter off when the game does all it's first loads and server changes (version and file checks) etc. Then turn it on when you're ready to start searching.
STACEY85 Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 thank you, good advice. Any idea why my nat type has changed?
TEH BUTCHER Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 thank you, good advice. Any idea why my nat type has changed? Nope, I haven't had NAT issues on the Xbox one ever with that said rebooting your console can fix it sometimes. If not you may need to set up port forwarding for the PS4.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 27, 2016 Administrators Posted January 27, 2016 As your issue has now been resolved I'll close the thread. Feel free to open another if needed. Glad to see you're all set up and running
