Thanks @Netduma Fraser How will I know if the DPI update has installed? Will it look any different or have other options? I’m on R2 3.2.453, gone to Device Manager, clicked Resync Cloud, get the operation is taking longer than expected message, rebooted…and it looks the same as it did before. Am I missing something?

Where are you based and what are your normal down and up speeds? I’m based in UK with 74/18 playing on XSX, and these settings didn’t make any improvements…in fact, it felt worse in game.

Tested this tonight and if anything it made my connection worse…either that or the MX9 really does shoot marshmallows! (doing the camo challenges and never want to use this gun again). You may be finding some placebo affect or SBMM has loosened for you. From my understanding, the QoS sliders are only required if you have other devices that are using your bandwidth, so for me it may have an adverse affect as my XSX is the only device utilising the internet when I’m gaming.

Do you do this using the QoS sliders? How low are you going with the download speed??

Been testing a few settings and have now found Home Theatre with flat Dolby Atmos EQ works best for my headset plugged in to Elite2 on XSX. I used to find Home Theatre to be too quiet but I’ve played around with the XSX audio sliders and the volume levels in game. Directional audio isn’t the best but it’s better than I’ve experienced so far on this game.

How do you look up players stats? I can only see my own and not even my friends.🤔

No one wants to blame themselves for dying quickly especially if it means we missed shots or didn’t get headshots 😂…but yeah, I totally understand what you’re saying! 👍

Apparently the 75% audio buff in the update was a bug and has been reverted back to how it was at launch so footsteps should sound quieter than they did a few days ago for anyone that thought that footsteps were now louder.

I was watching TacticalBrit/Westie earlier and they said that PS players have much better sound in game compared to Xbox and PC due to the PS audio engine…so if you’ve got it then use it. I mainly tested in game audio settings, volume level tweaks and Dolby Atmos tonight so will test Mono audio settings again over the weekend.

I can’t use Sonar on XSX (as far I’m aware) but will test Home Theatre again.

Yeah I spotted the Mono settings during campaign early access and actually questioned it on here as the descriptions didn’t make sense. All the YT settings guides say to keep it off, but I’ll give it some further testing with some other settings.

Apparently they boosted footstep audio but mine sounds just as bad as it did pre-update. Tested all the options and settings again but no improvement.

I play on XSX so we can’t use Sonar but I watched that video last week and adjusted Dolby Atmos EQ accordingly…if anything, it made it worse. I also “Gaming Headsets” on Reddit, and it’s basically recommended that the EQ/spacial software on Xbox are rubbish and it’s best to disable them. I did this and set audio to stereo compressed on Xbox settings…it’s still rubbish but better than any other settings I’ve tested.

Is there any point to throttling connection then? It doesn’t sound like it would improve hit detection in game.

The only TP rule I have set up is Gaming/Voice (WAN) so should that be disabled if I start using Bandwidth Allocation? From my testing, the QoS sliders do limit the download/upload speeds when I do speed tests so is using both making my connection worse? Also what are the best settings to use for Bandwidth Allocation when gaming? I don’t need any other devices in my house to have much speed at all when gaming as I’m the only one in the house.

Is Bandwidth Allocation the best way to throttle download/upload then rather than using QoS sliders? I’ve always used the QoS sliders to try this but never really notice any difference.

What kind of lobbies are you getting with this set up? Any way to improve the shoot first, die first would be helpful. I don’t use VPN but I’ve tried UK, France and Spain servers and I’m getting destroyed by the SBMM lobbies with all the wanna be COD pros regardless of the server and I’m dead before I can even ADS most of the time.

What does lowering MTU to 750 do in gaming? and will it affect other devices connected in the house when not gaming?

Where do you live? The same method should still apply, so just try servers that are 30-60ms from your location on ping heatmap.

@Bul If you’re based in the UK, leave your home location there and “allow” the Italy and Spain servers when you start the game up (turn off auto ping and manually select them). Please note this may take a couple of start ups of the game to add both servers to the allow list. Once you’ve done that, use polygon method in geo filter to draw around Italy and Spain, then search for games. I only tried this late last night and only played a couple of games, so will need further testing but this is what worked for me so give it a try.
