MikeTHIS got a reaction from Netduma Alex in Strange DHCP issue - had to factory reset for
Maybe I mis-spoke, I use the reservation feature set by MAC address, but only for the two Xbox’s.

This is the R1 I was sent as a replacement over the summer.

Was definitely strange and I sorted it out, just posted this as a “hey this happened” type thing lol
I also noticed that the wired ports showed as “offline” during this time was well when viewed in the devices pane.

I know a few people have asked for this, it's an interesting suggestion and is already on our list of suggestions. We're revising a bunch of things including QoS for future updates. I hope it'll be soon too but it should be worth the wait

Yeah I saw Battlenonsense when he came out with that. Been following him a long time.
Ill give it a few nights to settle down, I’m sure it’s because so many people are active again.

If you are connecting to a server close to yourself and you are getting a low ping.. I would say you are on the best connection that is possible.
The issue with Apex is that the Sever Tickrate is not great and it always prefers the shooter. So if there started shooting you first there would get priority over you.

    So far so good.
All set back up and updated.
A+ bufferbloat, normal speeds - played two games of apex and seems good to go.
    Thank you guys so much!

Your IP range May have been set back to default
    It’s 192.168.88.1
You must also clear your browser cache and renew your DHCP lease on your computer to force the new address.

First of all would like to thank the Netduma Staff for all their help to get to the bottom of the issue, seems it wasn't a faulty modem or cable but a faulty driver issue within windows or Windows 10 itself that caused the issue.
As the opening post went "After purchasing the Vigor 130, right from the off speed decreased from 53d/18u to 38d/18u but the ping remained the same (23ms)"
Now the initial thoughts where with being on BT that I'd been banded as I had a new modem and that impacted my line, over several days there where a few disconnection over a 20 minute period, I could have been as my ping increased and it was a familiar issue that I've had before but it seems it could have been fixed after 2 weeks when my ping returned back to normal.
But it seems that when plugging the Vigor 130 in, it may have corrupted something within Windows when it was speaking with the R1 and then XR500 when I plugged in the HG612, and why my speeds never got past 35 Mbps download for the R1 and 42\43 Mbps on the XR500 when I tested the HG612 modem.
Most confusing part was when the setup wizard on the XR500 and later the internal speed test on the Xbox One come back with what I should be getting speed wise, to what was the laptop was getting, last night, decided to reset the laptop to back to factory settings, and now I can confirm that my speeds on the laptop are back showing as 55 Mbps download and 17 Mbps
Just to finally add I'm in no rush to replace the Vigor 130 anytime soon and also if your facing speed issues, test the speed on the Xbox One if you have one, it's a good troubleshooting step and one I never thought of it until Tuesday but it can help eliminate the issue.
Again thanks for all the help.

That's fantastic to hear! Thanks so much for coming back with the solution, well done for finding the cause! We'll keep this in mind for anyone having future issues like this. As your issue has been solved I'll close this topic. Feel free to open another if needed!

hi you asked me to open a new thread i hope this 1 is ok, so to recap my speeds using the netduma are lower even with blufferbloat disabled, it has always been lower and i gave up trying to solve this. after seeing that post about someone else having similars issues and he had uploaded a log which matched mine, i thought id try again to see if we can get to the bottom of this.

Somehow the exact combination of Factory Reset followed immediately by disabling QoS did it. I have done both of those before, but I guess not in that exact order in a 1-2 punch?
It's wacky, but I'll take it.

The answer to the other questions, to maybe help others on the future:
    I'm not on PPPoE.
My ISP is Spectrum (formerly TWC).

    Thanks, Jack!

Still waiting for DHL, they never emailed me (I emailed you about it). I left it on my porch this morning (I have cameras and I live in the woods).
I updated my ASUS to the latest Merlin firmware - I can safely say I really miss the Duma. It keeps putting me in the most horrible Apex lobbies. Thankfully I at least had something to run before the replacement arrives.
