I don't understand why you don't make the FW freely accessible to those who want to install it and vice versa. always ridiculous decisions. We have been waiting for 4 months for disconnection problems there may be a solution but you still have to wait for someone to give you access to the solution

Look at how desperate the community is. Everyone wants access because no one wants to wait for the firmware. The community is putting up with beta firmware - it's unbelievable

I normally don't like to girl dog and moan yet here I am.  Give us a status report, I am sure your project manager for the dev team has some idea of when things should be completed.  Do you even have a project manager?
    What's been fixed?
What is still being worked on?
Why the hell is it taking so long?
All we get is "not giving ETA" "will be fixed in the next release" "we know what the problem is and will be fixed in the next release"
So I am very confused, how much time per day is being dedicated to fixing this mediocre router that I can only use one feature and that works 50% of the time.

What kind of timeline are we looking for on ping stabilizer/ internet speed testing working properly? I recently bought the R3 and after have noticed there are significant QOL problems. Working around things that are supposed to be features and completely ignoring the fact these are supposed to be features is not a viable solution considering they defined why I bought the router in the first place. If half of the features you're basing sales off of don't work, then your product is significantly overpriced at current state.

It's just frustrating, we as gamers are so used to being jerked off by gaming companies with their buggy launches, unoptimized games and the list goes on.  Then comes the hype with this router/software to make your gaming experience the best it's ever been and then reality smacks you in the face with the release of a buggy router that makes things worse. lol
When it works it works well, the geofilter is great for putting my friends and I in lobbies that are in between where we live (we are 1700 miles apart) and gives everyone a solid connection instead of having to connect in either west coast or east coast servers.  Yet, play a few games of warzone in Dallas and all is well, die and start a new game and connect in Brazil lol...
Follow the steps that is given to refresh the geofilter (while the rest of the party twiddles their thumbs waiting for you) and start the process over again and hope to get maybe 3-5 games in before you have to repeat the process.
Let's not talk about having to reboot the router 3-5 times a day sometimes since you cannot connect to the user interface.   You spend 15-60 minutes a day scouring the forums for suggestions on how to fix what's wrong and also searching for a glimmer of hope that there is a new firmware.
As someone else mentioned, let us know what's being worked on, I could give two craps about having the hybrid vpn working right now, I just want the core functions to work as advertised and you can slid that in later on once it's done.  Don't need more bells and whistles right now we just want and need a working product.
    Rant over

I agree, but people are frustrated because the R3 was rushed to market with these issues.  So everyone’s kind of expecting that same rush to fix the issues that came with the rushed product.  We see the patient approach that is being taken after the product release, but I just think the patient approach to fixing the issues shouldve happened before the release.  I bit the bullet because I thought we were getting a finished product, not a standing beta, with new features and improvements to be added, not a series of bug fixes that make gaming worse… on a gaming router.

I have an active approach and read the forums to mitigate poor performance on the R3, imagine how many people have already shelved it and told their friends that it’s not worth it?  To get 0ms bufferbloat I have to disable the entirety of IPV6 on LAN/WAN among other things that are supposed to be game changing features.
Now that I know about Bufferbloat and QoS settings I can emulate that feature on most routers since I had to learn it because Ping Boost doesnt work.  Steady ping does the opposite of stabilize my ping in Fortnite, geofilter works on games that I don’t play, IPv6, upnp, and smartboost have to be disabled.

The 200 dollar lesson in learning bufferbloat and how to manage network traffic to keep my ping low with multiple users hogging bandwidth was nice, but Ive started to see that is the only thing I am still using the R3 for, something achievable with any router with QoS settings.
I think I am just done with Netduma products now.

Man I didn’t sign up for this trial and error process,  when I made the purchase I just wanted the R3 to work.  Will that ever be the case?  Sheesh… this whole deal is incredibly off putting.

Hello.  I am in the same boat as you.  I thought that I was buying what was advertised in all the very well produced youtube advertisements.  The hardware looks exactly like the video, however when I try to use the device things are as buggy and frustrating as so many in this forum have reported.
I am not an expert in networking by any means and as you can see the R3 is the third Duma os enabled router that I have purchased.  Have you gone down the rabbit hole which is bufferbloat?  I have discovered that this one thing may be the key to good hit detection in Call of Duty.  It may well be that steady ping is unneeded if you get an A+ on the waveform bufferbloat test.  I am still running some tests to see if this is indeed the case.  Am I still frustrated that I didn't get what I thought I was spending my money on?  YES  However, if I am able to play Call of Duty without always loosing gunfights because the opponent always sees me first and has eliminated me at the authoritative server before I can even challenge them........ maybe its not what was advertised but in a round about way it will solve the problem that I wanted solved?  Still testing and contemplating.  Best of luck to you on this frustrating endeavor.

As it stands now, my XR1000 is more stable. All of the issues that I’m having with the R3 went away when I switched back. I like the R3s feature set, just hope it gets patched soon.

switched back to the XR1000 today.  too many issues with the R3 after the first two months, and new ones unfortunately seem to pop up with every new patch. Will set it back up in a few months after they iron out the bugs

It won't be pushed to the router but I'll make a post for it, sending it to everyone who wants it personally would take a long time

I was able to achieve an open nat on both ps5 and xbox by (1) port forwarding the MW3 ports to ps5, and (2) changing the xbox port to 50149. The xbox is still relying on UPNP - I didn’t port forward the MW3 ports to xbox as well.

Thanks all. UPNP is enabled but still moderate NAT in MW3 on PS5. However, manually port forwarding worked.
Odd that UPNP isn’t working with the PS5. Had no issues with UPNP on the XR1000.

Glad port forwarding is working for you, may be due to using multiple consoles, I will pass that onto the team to take a look at, thanks for the report!
