Aylinka got a reaction from Sentinel82 in R3 stuck on bootloop help!
After double checking.. It seems I used the wrong power supply...my bad. So the issue has been fixed.
😅 (dear power supply.. Why do you look like all other power supplies)

This is the most frustrating part about the Netduma R3 for me at the moment.

Please, all I ask, is to have the GEO FILTER remember my DISABLED STEADY PING.

I cant even disable steady ping in the R3 app, so Im stuck having to boot my PC, login to the router, and disable it.

My experience with steady ping with 86-94% ping stability on 0 bufferbloat:
63-68 ping… then 90 ping… then 63-68 ping… then 90 ping… forever.  It literally does the opposite of steadying my ping.

My experience without steady ping, 63-68.

Im happy with that, I just want the router to PLEASE remember that I have disabled this setting, like every other setting on the router.  I can even swap the firmware, and all my settings are remembered… except steady ping.

Please let the router… remember that I’ve disabled steady ping, and keep it disabled… unless I want to turn it on…

Hit registration is so bad.  Hooking up straight to my modem I will win 80% of my 50/50 battles.  Hooked up to r3 and I will win 10% of my 50/50 battles.  It’s unplayable for me.  Waiting to see peoples settings.  The ones I’ve tried didn’t do anything

The issue is fixed for the next firmware. It will be tested today and assuming everything is okay I'll allow people to try it out tomorrow.

    Hi,
sharing the following and my conclusion.
As I use fiber, i removed my modem/router from my ISP and thus connected the R3 directly. After this, did the buffer bloat test which resulted in a C grade. Anyhow, restart of R3 > still C grade. Next i checked the CPU usage and pingplotter to see what happens. I did this with and without  gaming.  see also image
    Conclusion:
CPU is hitting peak  for CPU0 and CPU2 and in game tremendous lag today.  I do not believe the issues are because of any settings as i believe it is the hardware which causes this. Curious to see your reply @Netduma Fraser as this will be the deciding factor for me whether i return the product or not. I am not trying to be negative but the device should work as intended from the get-go (steady ping, low latency) which isn't working for me. Maybe I am unlucky compared to others but for the price you pay it should not become a situation where we need to do stuff in the forum and you @Netduma Fraser trying to mitigate it. I truly feel for you and appreciate you always responding calmly and respectful. Looking forward to your final response.
    Thanks.

weird that with R3 latency is al over the place. Without it (right 👉 , wired directly via modem/router) no such thing. Is my device just broken? a RMA? @Netduma Fraser
i only purchased this product to make sure that i am only connected to servers nearby (Geofencing) but dann it. I am disappointed as any product with its slogans should work out-of-the-box in my opinion.
if you say it is my ISP then i am going to appeal for return of the product. Can't waste more time as it has been one week trying things out.
    Thank you for your understanding.

i've installed ping plotter but do not know what i have to do. other then that i am not sure why i need to install 3rd party software all the while R3 is suppose to work out of the box?
@Netduma Fraser I bought this product and while everything works the in game lag is something that i can best check with tech support. how can i check the cpu load of the router?

@Fuzyyour remark doesn't make sense to me as without netduma + wired there is no lag in game. Thus i do think it is either conjestion or steady ping as steady ping also doesn't seem to work propeely. I hope that i find the solution otherwise i need to send this back to netduma as this is bad game experience to me and waste of effort and money on my end.

@AylinkaI mean looking at your buffer bloat test it doesn't seem like your using cc if you are then you need to set it to always and disable speed test bypass to get accurate results

I have bought the r3 and could not fibd the receipt.. So have given the r2 to a relative as it does work with the older firmware. You may close this topic.
    Thank you for your support.

Just tried again but no access, is it still in the DMZ? Was it the 192.168.1.223 IP you put in the DMZ? If so check the R2 System Information page to see if the IP may have changed

@AylinkaI believe he's off today and they only got one person running the forums from the company so you'll have to wait till then I guess...

Keep us posted, you'll want to toggle Enable 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi, if you've toggled it to off all the options below should grey out, then save, then reboot from the interface and it should have saved.

@AylinkaIf your using Firefox as I can see somewhat you can use the link below which explains the instructions https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/https-only-prefs the reason for this is that it just how the UI was designed and so it has some issues with certain stuff enabled so forth like saving cache on a browser and forcing HTTPS when it not necessary on a network that your accessing. I am not part of the netduma team am just hear to assist
