  1. How about mesh capabilities using hardwire backhaul?
  2. I mean that's the thing that happens with brand new software. Think about any brand new OS, they all have bugs in the beginning. I remember earlier versions of Windows, even up through Windows 10 where there were tons of issues. The thing is, NetDuma is quick to respond, address and solve issues and then push updates in a timely manner (when their hands aren't tied from other companies). I guarantee if you had any other brand router with brand new ground breaking technology involved in it's software, it would take much longer for this process to come back to you.
  3. No it's interactive, there's videos and all sorts of things not just finance. I don't think there's any voip or conferencing though. Just thought since many different corporations use it, it might be worth looking into but it's definitely not a deal breaker.
  4. I didn't see it in there so I thought I'd suggest an add for WorkDay. It's an app via browser, IOS/Droid and my wife and I both use it for work.
  5. My issue was a little different. I could connect to the router wirelessly and all the ports show green connected. Unfortunately the devices connected to those ports couldn't connect to the R3 admin page or the Internet even after giving devices a static IP...BUT the wireless side would still work normally. After upgrading to .23 FW, doing a hard reset and disabling ipv6 on WAN/LAN, I haven't had that issue.
  6. Happy New Year bud! Yes she's been pretty stable with ipv6 off WAN/LAN. I also went ahead and disabled STP since I don't really think I need it for my home network. So yeah, whenever you guys wanna break into my router and take a look you're more than welcome.
  7. Yeah I remember STP being utilized for layer 2 loopback and redundancy but I thought we were way past that.
  8. Wow, I haven't seen STP (spanning tree protocol) on a router since EnGenius. Is that for some of the services on DumaOS?
  9. Hey Fraser, you want me to keep IPv6 disabled in the WAN/LAN? Honestly since I have I haven't lost connection maybe that's the issue? Also I noticed I lost connection (WiFi and wired) when I would turn on Port Scan Protection. Anyway, just let me know what I should be doing. Have fun on NYE !!!!
  10. I just wanted to take some time to thank everyone. The NetDuma team and everyone else who supports these fine people and their work. This holiday I would like to think of this ecosystem of network and gaming guru's (and the programmers I guess lol) as a big family. I'm a bit older and if you know what an arithmatic logic unit was in the 386 and 486 sx and dx then you're about as crusty as I am. I have never seen a router company be it Linksys, Asus, Netgear, tp-link, etc. be so involved and acutely responsive in trying to help. Even if my family and I weren't gamers, I would still support and promote NetDuma and the people in this forum just on that fact alone that whenever and whatever issue you have, someone will try to help. So from my family to yours, Merry Christmas everyone!
  11. That's ok Fraser you always do the best you can and I appreciate your efforts. I hope you and the NetDuma team have a good holiday over there!
  12. My modem is a Motorola MB8611 so no router function to worry about on that. IPv6 is disabled on WAN/LAN and remote access has been enabled through the settings>troubleshooting menu (to allow for a technical support officer to access my router). ๐Ÿ˜
  13. Sure no problem, whenever you're ready I'll be here bud.
  14. Came back from a nice dinner out with the family, kids were watching something on youtube on the living room tv and not 15 minutes later the internet went out on the hard wired devices. Here's a log. Sorry that new FW didn't solve the issue. I did disable IPv6 on WAN and LAN. I did not set static IPs for everything on the wired side coz that's just way too much tinkering around for the family holiday time I have. Anyway hope this log will help some. 15. So the LAN hasn't given me any issues so far, I have noticed in PubG my latency has gone up to 90 - >100ms. Not sure if it has anything to do with the new firmware or not but I'll keep you posted. Probably play some other games soon so I'll check back later.
  16. I'm also going to keep the *.*.77.1 as it's not a big deal to have it different.
  17. Ok so after the soft reset and going through the setup wizard, I was able to do a hard reset.
  18. I uploaded and let the router start up. Once I was able to access the os and the Internet, I tried to do a hard reset by holding in the reset button for 30 seconds. Unfortunately all this did was restart the router as all my settings were still there. I went into settings>troubleshooting and did a factory restart (soft reset). I'm going to set the router up and then try doing a hard reset again.
  19. Sure thing, I'll upload that then hard reset afterwards and let you know the progress. Thank you Fraser and stop working so hard, it's the holidays! ๐Ÿ˜‹
  20. Well I was getting around 50-60ms on the XR700 but now it's around 60-80ms. I guess maybe ping stabilizer is working as it's saying ping stabilized on screen yet above it says couldn't ping server....so I'm not sure how that works but if I used to get 50-60 and I'm now getting 60-80 then I guess stabilizer is working?
  21. Yeah I get about 1000/40 so I set sliders to 70% and just set to always. Also the server is pretty far from me on PubG but it seems to be the only one near me? If that makes any sense, I'm older so I might be playing a dying game. I've had my PC set to computer and console. I think setting it to console yields better results though. Latency is high though, hitting ~80ms...
  22. Oh I did that yesterday, gave Fraser a log. Yeah I dunno why I thought CC was done away with since smart boost came out. I looked in the advanced settings for Ping Optimizer and there's the old QoS sliders! ๐Ÿ˜† Good call on those. I'm also having issues with ping stabilizer not optimizing games like NBA 2k and PubG. That kinda pales in comparison to the LAN ports losing connectivity though.
  23. So I've mentioned this in another thread I created where I gave my first impression of the R3. This thread is exactly about the issue in the title. Every so often the LAN ports to the R3 just stop working. I don't get a "LAN cable unplugged" message so the devices still can see the connection to the router but they don't pull an IP and when setting a static IP the device still can't connect to the Internet or router. I woke up this morning to unhappy kids, lol, I took my laptop out and tried connecting directly to port 1 of the R3. The laptop was not able to pull an IP through DHCP automatically. I went ahead and gave the laptop a static IP and still could not connect to the router or the Internet. The only solution right now is to turn the router off from the button on the back and turn it back on.

  25. What is CC?
