That's why I quit playing CoD on PC. I turnned me crazy. Reading steam forum topìcs about settings... that if you lower your resolution you get less lag, that if you modify that game file with different values it will help you against lag-comp, that if you do that, if you do these... and at the end (like always) nothing worked at all. If router settings were not enough for blowing up my head, I had to add PC settings, so I feded up and returned to console gaming. And, even though, I still have headache trying to fix my connection, because despite all settings, I'm still having 7-8 bad games every 10 matches

I don't recommend dmz. Aside that is a black hole on your security, it is not proved that provides a better game experience. The major part of forum users use upnp. Try anti-bufferbloat on. I know that some people here suggest turning it off, but in my experience is better keeping it on, and I also don´t recommend NEVER to keep slide bars to 100/100. Try lowering a little. You can start from 97/97 and then prove 70/70. What I'm gonna try is set my bandwich at 25mb down and 5 up. Seems that cod games doesn't like very fast and huge connections. QoS... some users suggest to turn it off, but in your case, with such huge speeds, I don´t think it will make any difference. The same for bandwich sharing. There even are users who assure that keeping it on for upload helps the game, but once again in my opinion... 😕 Finally, the only on-line game I play is CoD, and seems that the netcode of this game is a total different universe from other games, so don't be confused if the same settings that you use in other games doesn´t work in this one. I'm playing nearly 12 years, and still don´t get the point at this connection. Just like the most part of this forum users 😅

Port prioritation does not make miracles. The user @GHOST-1-EC is getting great results wit only onle rule on PS4 Source 3074:3074, destination 3074:45000. For now, I will forget about ports under 3074 and over 45000, coz seems that the game is not using those ports while playing. Try other settings too. Most part of the forum users are using Upnp instead of port forwarding, only 1-2 prioritation rules, Anti-bufflebloat 70/70 (just to put an example, does not mean that this number is the correct for you)... Have you tried forcing servers yet? I think is the main factor that makes a real difference on the game. Try to force Spanish dedicated servers, the most part of users are forcing those servers and it goes well for them. Deny any peer connection. For me, south-west german servers feels good, but the servers that are good for me, may not be the best for you. Just try different regions. I once played in a russian server and was great, and once played on another russian peer and was a disaster. And most important, you must consider that not all games are gonna be perfect, but if you bad games reduces in a considerabe ammount, BRAVO, you have Shorted your connection! But the main thing is trying different settings, experiment by yourself. Take your time. This is a job that must be done in so many days and games.

1) Just forget about the ping. As long as you play in dedis and you have a nice experience, ping does not matter any more, and the real ping is given by geophilter, not de game. Lower ping does not always mean better gameplay. For example, some users here have a great experience with30-40ms ping, but in my case, the best games I’ve had were around 60ms ping. 2) what I do is, before turning on console, I expand my geophilter radius, so my xbox can connect to xbox live servers, and make sure there’s no problem with the nat. Then, if I have to party with a mate, it appears on geophilter. I allow him and make sure he is inside the radious of geophilter. Once your party is made, you can narrow your geophilter around the server you want. 😉

The cod hames habe “host disadvantage” wich is a method in wich the gane adds you toons of artificial lag if you are host to avoid you having a great advantage over your opponents. But this netcode is so bad that the game is unplayable when you are host. My advice is that you try different dedicated servers and see wich ones feels good. Once you got them, just put your geo philter with ping assist to 0 and autoping off in that server and make your radious so small that only allows this server. Avoid peer to peer games. If you enter a lobby and your geophilter shows that is a peer, just leave.

I don´t know if this is the right topic to post this. Admins, feel free to correct me if doesn´t. A couple of days ago I was trying to force a game in USA (I'm from Spain) wich servers gives me no less than 120ms ping. But when I try, aside that it takes a live to find a game, the times it does, it connect me to peers located in USA with 40-45ms ping, and once in game, most of players had European country flags on their tag, so I wasn't playing in the USA. I also noticed that the further I try to force a game server, the longer it takes to find a lobby. seems that this game only wants me to play in Spanish and Brtitih lobbyes, wich are the worst for me.

Exactly the opposite happens to me. Excep from BO4 because I don’t have the game. @Seye it’s nice to know that we are a considerable cuantitybif players here who feels the game it’s cheating us

I know that feeling. You love the game, but at the same time you hate it for being so unfair, and it gets the worst of you. I think it is the reason of netduma users, but the worst thing is that, even with netduma, it’s impossible to fix the game. one question: Was BO4 so imposible to fix?

Are this results consistent? Because what happens to me is that every time I make a new tweak/setting and it works, it only does for one or two simple games, and then become the same mess that it was before. EVERY TIME!! You don’t know how mucho I hate this happens

So what I'm doing now is expand my geophilter in easteurope, make sure that filter-mode is on, ping assist to 0, strict mode on, and fast search disabled. I will also prove a dsl connection, just to proof if it makes difference. I will let you know

@kinel , there was a user who was adding artificial lag in his connection, I think via open-wrt (not sure if it was this way). I don't remember if this user was roydavis77 Years ago, before Netduma, I used a device called lagbuster, wich was basically an anibufferbloat with a feature that let you increase your latency to avoid lag-comp, but it really never worked propperly. The company named Sejent does exist no more. Maybe I give it another try to this lagbuster. That's why I'm asking continously for a feature in Netduma to set a minimmum ping on geophilter (did you see my screenshot in wich it shows that geophilter doesn't work propperly?) In the lag-comp topic you said that once you played on a russian server with 50ms ping and I was pure magic. There's an spanish youtuber wich says that he almost always plays against russians and east-europe users (the most "funny" thing is that he don´t know why), and his gameplays are very smooth. He also says that when he plays against spanish, the connection is really bad. So at this point... prio-port-rules help. Yesterday I tried 3075 dest 30000-45000 and vice, and seems that helps. At least I was able to make some k/d ratio positive games. But what makes difference is ping >50ms as far as I tested. So next move is trying to fix my geophilter, because it complety ignores my radious. I was wondering that "maybe" it is due to the low number of servers in east-europe, so it doesn´t find a server in the area and at the end, it connects me to the same servers as always. So today I'll expand my geophilter radious and will let you know how it works. But in case that it still keeps connecting me to servers out of range, I will open a new post to ask admins to fix it.

Yeah, I know. For me the best are the lobbys round to 60 ms ping. Spanish lobbys are <20ms and they suck (I can not understand why a Spanish guy with same connection as me, just rush over me) British lobbys are <40ms and they suck French lobbys are <40ms and they seems to be playable, but I must do further test German lobbys are <50ms and... well... Rest of lobbys between 50 and 75ms feels quite good. The main problem is that my geophilter ignores my preferences, and it keeps connecting me to Sapnish and British dedis/peers, althought I've burnt out the "deny" botton. I Have my geo set on east europe trying to force game there, but it is useless. Seems that it is trolling me. Ghost recommended me to join you in lobbys you host, so if you you wanna give a try, I would be thankful for that. My tag on Xbox live is Grafti Thank you very much

But what bothers me is that my problem is more related with timing (second behind) than with hit detection, and at the end I'm ot sure if it is due to traffic prio or ping. Wich ping are all of you usually playing? Because for me, the lower the ping is, the worst it gets. If you feel like this and you wish there was a minimmum ping feature, you can ask for this in this topic I don't even discard the following theory, because it is so incredible that with the same connection and same settings, some players play really good, and others really bad no matter they try.

You are lucky man. In a very rare occasion (I think less than 5% of my games) I'm a second ahead. I'm always on the wrong side. And gun fights... as I said, many time I even get a gun fight, I only see the enemy for a milisecond, and then die. But yes, when I lose a gun fight, I see in kill cam (almost in every killcam) that I'm a second behind. That's the reason why I asked Admins to put a feature in netduma to set a minimmum ping to find a lobby.

That makes me wonder. The reason I quit playing CoD games every year is not level design, weapons balance, gameplay, or others, nooo. The reason is always the same: LAG. After games and games (days and days) being laggy, it always comes a point in wich I have a very doggy and unfair death thats makes me turn off the game at the momment (full of rage) and I say... "Till here". The only game in the series that was quite acceptable was BO2 (PC)... till the first map expansion in wich the game crapped. And the worst was MW3. By far, the worst online experience in my live. I played it on my PC, and it just turned me crazy. I was continously tweaking my router, and even the game files. Doing really nonsense things, and I only remember one good match in that game. And this MW is going the same way. AW was... not a terrible disaster but not so good too. And this has been my last CoD till this MW, because In my new home I had no fiber (only DSL) till now.
