Who said anything about pc? I didn’t
-
That’s essentially all ports. That’s why it was stated to just place your console in the dmz.

I’ve had zero problems with the router. Everything is pretty much self explanatory. There’s tons of tutorials and videos for every feature. What are you wanting the router to do that it’s not doing then? I only said what I said because you mention warzone specifically. I play warzone and Cold War and have zero issues aside from the usual cod bs that has NOTHING to do with my r2...

A miracle like the r2 is going to make them better at call of duty. There’s a TON of info on this thread that covers every possible setting you could imagine, none of which will make you a better player or make your connection godlike. What it can do and what all us cod players want is a somewhat fair and consistent connection. It allows me to pick what servers I’d prefer to play on, which is a huge advantage itself, but I don’t even use geo filter anymore. One of the other contributors doesn’t even own a netduma router, but has offered connection insight that has been invaluable. I just think some ppl need to have more realistic expectations. Warzone is a mess in general right now between the Cold War integration and the increasingly lower and lower ttk with each weapon release. Add cheaters to the mix and you’ve got a frustrating mess.
-
I swear ppl but these routers expecting miracles....
-
Call of duty for sure because of the lag compensation system in place, which punishes those with a superior connection.
-
I use the same settings for CW, MW, and WZ. Honestly right now the Warzone meta and ttk have it in a bad place. That and the cheaters seem to trump my connection. I’m not saying CW and MW are perfect, I still run into a player per lobby that’s unable to be killed, but overall my connection and hit reg are the most consistent when I simply throttle my speeds. I’m personally not using traffic prio of any sort and I no longer use geo filter because 9/10 times I’m thrown into a lobby between 30-60ms which play about the same for me, which is nice because I find matches quickly and don’t have to deal with it blocking servers. Even the over seas servers aren’t terrible, with the occasional exception, in which case I just block a bad one if I come across it.
-
Me too. As I said before. I use no special settings. I no longer even use geo filter.
-
😳 care to share?? Lol
-
Just for reference the ping heat map shows my ping to those servers at about 40-44ms. Which in game translates to about 50-60ms.
-
Listen to him. Pls read what I said about lag comp. I’m telling you I use no special settings and don’t even use geo filter any longer. It almost always puts me in lobbies between 30-60 ms and that’s perfect for my connection. The number one thing you needs to do IMO is get on the right side of lag comp. I feel like I’m the one at an advantage now, and I’m not using traffic prio at all....
-
Did you take the time to read through the thread? Traffic prio isn’t the end all, be all. For a lot of us it’s actually making things worse these days. If you’re experiencing “shoot first, die first” then maybe you’re on the wrong side of lag comp, which traffic prio will not fix...
-
It only stays constantly lit if you’re prioritizing the game servers (30,000-45,000). 3074 etc is for Xbox live. You should notice it light up when first launching the game when it’s contacting the servers maybe even between matches if I remember correctly, but it will not stay lit long. Mine didn’t. Removed the rule because I noticed little difference.
-
It really just depends on what you mean by “correct”. When I was using traffic prio i unchecked DumaOS games. Lately I’ve been using nothing but port forwarding and I’m still debating using that. The correct settings are the ones that work best for your personal connection.
-
Thank you. Do you personally use port forwarding?
-
This absolutely works for me. I don’t even use geo filter any longer. No special settings needed. I am using port forwarding and upnp is off. I’m wondering if I should disable the rules and turn upnp back on. What do you guys use on that front?

Hahahaha. This will spark the whole console vs pc war 🤣. I use mouse and keyboard exclusively and I can tell you with all honesty, it’s very hard to compete with the aim assist console gets. I know it’s necessary in order for us to play together, but man it’s like a soft aim bot. I watch killcams of ppl tracking me through walls, snapping on me and killing me when I had the jump on them. Dude came into a room and I was aware he was coming. He proceeded to come into the room, jump, kill me and someone else. I watch the killcam and he never missed a shot and barely took any damage. Mind blown. Lag comp? Aim assist? I don’t even know at this point. We both shot at him and both died lol. I’m going to try QOS completely off and a couple other settings today. I’m just looking for a consistent experience with half decent hit reg. Oh just a quick comment/question. They claim a lot of the servers marked “peer” are actually dedicated servers, but when players leave and join it severely effects the connection. Wouldn’t that not be the case on a dedicated server? That’s another issue I’ve noticed. I’ll start a game off on an absolute tear, opposing team will have ppl quit, and once new ppl join I can no longer kill a single person, which in turn causes me to quit....
-
You seem to just get it. Nothing will magically make you a god at the game. Idk if all the sweats are in league play now, or if they toned down the sbmm, but I no longer feel like after a few good games I can no longer compete. I may just be getting better at the game, and those lobbies that were brutal before, just aren’t as bad. Naturally you’d get better at a game having played for 3-4 hours a day. My map awareness and general understanding of how the game flows has helped me get 5-6 less deaths a match and 5-6 more kills. So maybe that’s it. I still run into the unkillable person per lobby, but at this point that’s just par for the course. When traffic prio was working my hit reg was great and consistent. That’s the biggest problem I face now. Consistency. I get absolutely melted and try the same gun, same attachments, and it’s like I’m shooting marshmallows. The point blank kills are maddening because for me on pc, the closer I am to an enemy, the less my bullets register. 🤦🏽♂️ I can’t try fun creative gun variants. Task force barrel is a must, yet I get pooped on by ppl using attachments I can’t even think about using. Lol. Turning off cross play helps with the aim assist snapping deaths and getting locked on through walls, but it takes FOREVER to find a match, and the try hards use controllers on pc. Can we get input based matchmaking pls? Sigh. The cod struggle is real.
-
Absolutely this. The lower ping lobbies are the worst for me. Idk why because ping is supposed to be “king”, but I’ve found 40ish ping is the sweet spot for me personally. I don’t need any special settings. Games around 40 ping give me very consistent hit reg. Games with 30 ping and below and I can’t kill a guy from 2ft away. I played all night to reach this conclusion. 🤷🏽♂️
-
Yep. Can confirm lol. It seemed better for a few matches but overall unstable. I’m going to continue to test.
-
I live in the United States and it seems to have improved my gameplay. Namely it doesn’t take as many bullets to kill someone it seems. He didn’t mention whether his share excess was on or off, so I assumed it was the default, which is on for both upload and download.

10 mb each

I play pretty often, and of all the games, that one has always felt the most fair as far as gun fights go. I never really felt I was losing gun fights based on connection. Lately tho? Holy cow! My aug downs ppl with two bursts. It’s unreal. Same servers I normally play on. Maybe firmware 205 is just more stable for my connection. (Cable internet from suddenlink) at first I thought the new firmware sucked except for my connection not dropping every few hours, but after going through all my settings again and getting everything dialed in, it’s great. That or an update to cod itself. Something has caused my bullets to register much more consistently. That’s what’s been the most important. The consistency. I don’t even check my geo filter any longer to see where I’m playing. I know it will only connect me to servers either in my circle, or within my ping assist threshold, and every server I connect to lately runs the same, despite my ping to the servers using ping heat map, bring higher than they ever used to be.
-
That’s the way it works. The amount of devices on my network, 98% is the sweet spot. The diff in bandwidth my devices get using 98% vs 100% is negligible, so yea technically I could keep them at 100%. Regardless my hit detection is still the best it’s ever been. It’s even better in MW since the maps and TTK are so much better. Occasionally I’ll get on a server that’s less than optimal and I can notice a very slight difference, but overall I am very happy with the hit registration across both games, across multiple servers.
-
For some reason 98% is the magic number for my connection. I have no idea why to be honest, but after trying from 100 to 0 in increments of 5, 98 works the best.
