    Router definitely hit or miss on days one day ill be getting called a cheater other days "what happened your subsciption to your mods expired?' lmao! Its frustrating, a fix should be one thing at a time not 1 BIG list of fixes! Just want consistency thats all.. Rebooting everything 2-3 hours like the routers needs a refresh just to run smoothly for gaming..

    Hello everyone, here is the first update of 2024 for the Netduma R3. This update is not available as a 1 click update from the interface, you will need to upgrade manually.
    Please read carefully:
    We have tested this firmware but not as much as we would have done normally, reason being is we wanted to get this out to people to try without any further delay SO it is possible you could see issues as with any firmware update but it's looking pretty good so far. 
    This update does not fix every single issue that has been reported, it is possible that issues you may have that aren't covered in the change log have been resolved but if its not been mentioned don't expect it to be fixed.
    Please do not report issues you already have that haven't been fixed in this firmware, we know what the issues are and they're still being worked on. On the other hand if there is an issue you were having that has been fixed please do let us know as that helps just as much as reporting issues.
    TL:DR
    Don't report issues that have already been reported and that haven't been mentioned in the change log Report whether issues mentioned in the change log and issues that haven't been mentioned have been fixed Report any new issues you've encountered after upgrading Changelog:
    Improvements to stability of upgrade process (memory issue should be fixed) Improved performance during high bandwidth usage Fixed a bug when disabling multiple devices in Adblocker Added ability to select individual server in Ping Heatmap when servers are grouped together Improved reliability of Speed Test Reduced CPU usage of certain services that were causing ping spikes Various frontend styling fixes Firmware removed while we work to fix issues.

    OMG! Your logic is lacking logic! why are you even mentioning enterprise environments for a primarily gaming home router! its completely out of context.  You do know if there is bugs in the R3 firmware then certain connection configurations that somehow got missed during testing could occur. I am having ethernet disconnects on the LAN side but what if the bug affects the WAN side as well for others?  if yours is stable why even comment! to put others down and call them stupid! I am not upset just hate arrogant people who assume because they have no issues  everyone else must be at fault. Just because a problem isn't widespread or affects you doesn't mean it doesn't exist. All I can say congrats that yours is stable and connected. Good day sir

    Mine didn't work properly out of the box. Literally zero configurations and I had poor wifi, dropped connections, etc. Tinkering made things no better. Factory resets didn't make things better. I've tried everything I've read on these forums to no avail. Multiple configs with factory resets between, new cables, etc. I've been configuring routers for 20 years. DumaOS is extremely user-friendly to anyone with an ounce of experience navigating router GUIs. There's something broken and it's NOT user error. Otherwise, the complaints wouldn't be so similar and there wouldn't be so many of them. If it was user error, there'd be no need for an update for anything more than security fixes and everything going on COULD be fixed with just changing some settings around. That's not the case. Just because YOUR issues are non-existent or cause minimal harm to your network to the point that they can mostly be ignored, that does not exclude the possibility that some units could have been shipped with faulty hardware or that the backend software just isn't functioning as expected for the average end-user on all units. The silicon world is finicky in that way. They can press 100K chips and 10% have issues. Of those 10% (10K people), only 2000 have issues that are deemed worth signing up on a forum for. The other 8000 just live with it or replace the unit while random people from the 90K with working units sign up for the same forum to tell the vocal minority they're wrong.

    So if your lucky enough to have your r3 stable then screw everyone else that’s having disconnect issues or whatever and say I am happy to wait ! That’s so selfish! And to start implying users don’t understand how routers work again how demeaning to others ! I personally am a certified network engineer with 20+ years experience. I understand what the hold up. God some people !

    I have factory reset the router probably 1000 times by now and reinstalled fresh. Tried loads of different configurations. I was one of first to get router so been through .16 - .23 firmware. Notice how I am not getting a reply from admins 🤔 makes you think they can’t find what’s causing problems. Maybe it’s a hardware problem!

    I think a lot of people are waiting for the update that was said be be out 2 weeks ago and still nothing! I have had to switch my PS5 over to WiFi to stop it disconnecting during a game of MW3 zombies. Still doesn’t stop the Mrs moaning that the tv has disconnected again!  I love netduma but starting to look at other gaming routers out there. It really disheartens you when your told update is coming then nothing! Even if it’s a small patch it means the router is getting better with each one! Might not fix my issue but will help someone else!  Please please release an update soon! I placed my faith in netduma  and so far just keep getting fobbed off with excuses! I bet this won’t be replied to now for a week lol

    Oh and I wanted to mention that the return period is 14 days. Some of us might have waited for the firmware and now are outside of the return window.

    Coordinating with the community is great however, a lot of us aren’t used to having these type of instabilities with routers that cost this much. Some people have already sold or given their old routers away so they’re stuck with a half-working device. And then there’s me, with a perfectly working XR1000 while my R3 cosplays as a $233 paperweight til an update drops that HOPEFULLY fixes everything and allows me to return the XR1000 within its return window since I don’t need 2 routers in my household. 
     
    I undoubtedly would’ve already returned this thing if it wasn’t for my ability to come here and get updates from the team. However, good post-launch communication doesn’t absolve them from the fact that this has been a shaky release. People reserve the right to complain about things they’ve paid for. Complaints literally make products better when manufacturers care about reviews which the Duma team seems to do. Again, the post-launch communication is the only reason the R3 is even still in my house.

    I am still waiting for a new firmware to fix disconnect problems. Meant to be last last week or early this week. Well today would be last day of "early this week" as tomorrow will be middle of week! so hopefully will see new firmware today???? getting so frustrated but trying to be patient.

    I agree they are very bright white and in your face in a dark room. I have requested a way to at least turn them off!

    Hi I know you can turn off the ambient lights on the top of R3 but can’t seem to find any way to turn off the white lights on the front? They are very bright at night and would be good to be able to turn them off.
