  1. Requesting to be added pleasee
  2. There isn't a one size fits all for internet or any router honestly. It depends on if you have fiber, docsis, etc etc... what your provider is, what your speed is, what is your personal preference on what you want to achieve from the router.
  3. Try connecting the homepod to the 5ghz network and see if that fixes it.
  4. For my setup I directly connected from the ONT to the R3. Under WAN: Changed the MAC address to match the Google provided gateway Changed DNS to the best one for me (1.1.1.1 primary, 8.8.8.8 secondary) Disabled upstream DNS Manually keyed in MTU to 1500 Left IPv6*ENABLED* (IPv6 is a toss up on if it's better or worse to have on or off. For my fiber connection, it's proved to be better in the long term.) LAN settings: Left IPv6 *ENABLED* (IPv6 is a toss up on if it's better or worse to have on or off. For my fiber connection, it's proved to be better in the long term.) UPnP enabled Internet rules settings: DO NOT SET ANY INTERNET RULES, DELETE ANYTHING WITHIN HERE. This broke my wifi speeds, wired speeds by literally in half. RGB lighting settings: Turned all off due to stability issues I have ran into with the router Geo filter settings: Disable steady ping Enable geo location Enable strict Ping optimizer settings: Set everything to 100% Congestion control mode set to low latency Speed test bypass is enabled at the moment/on/currently Red Smartboost settings: Turned on smartboost Simple mode enabled Removed all activities and devices Adblocker settings: Manually disabled every device in adblocker Then turned off adblocker. System information: Confirm/set time zone to your timezone Turned off all protection/protocols in troubleshooting and disabled telemetry under troubleshooting. With these exact settings I get these results consistently get 950-980 Mbps through ookla or directly through router speed test. Wireless I'm now getting 750+ Mbps and 4ms ping (when pinging the Texas Google fibers server of course
  5. What type of connection do you have currently? Fiber? What speeds are you expecting, and who is your ISP?
  6. There is a known issue with bridge mode and trying to use the 10g port, make sure your only using lan 1 port when using bridge mode on your device
  7. Are you plugging into the lan port 1 or the 10G port.
  8. Agreed, the sfp is directly feeding into the "hub" it looks like someone mentioned on Reddit that it may use vlan, but I'm not quite sure it's the same box. I wonder if using a sfp converter like this could bypass it? TP-Link MC220L | Gigabit SFP to RJ45 Fiber Media Converter | Fiber to Ethernet Converter | Plug and Play | Durable Metal Casing | Versatile Compatibility | Auto-Negotiation | UL Certified https://a.co/d/eGlkN1u
  9. Are you plugging into the 10g port or lan1? https://forum.telus.com/t5/Home/Bridge-Mode-Using-Your-Own-Router/ta-p/52181
  10. Unless he has an all in one, that's why I asked if he has 2 boxes or just one 🙂
  11. I reviewed telus website also, maybe I'm misreading this, but it's definitely 2 separate items based on these photos, and the factor it states that you connect the ont to the modem.
  12. The Mac address is located on the outside of the device, should be easy to find on the bar codes. On your telus connection, do you have an ont that then connects to a modem?
  13. I would see if you can bypass the modem all together by using the max address clone feature on the R3. Key in the same Mac address as telus fiber modem your connecting to, and see if that works. Also, can confirm you're on the largest .41 update.
  14. With my Google fiber, and after a lot of tinkering I was able to to get identical speeds/better speeds as I would get through the provided gateway. Better to start with one thing at a time, versus trying to get bufferbloat, speeds, ping, etc etc done all at once. 15. So many questions with so little information being provided. Couple of quick questions, and one particular one: Who is your ISP? you said you put your ONT box into full bridge mode.. How? The ONT box just converts fiber into Ethernet, that goes to the modem/gateway. I have Google fiber, and I just plugged directly from the ONT to the router. Why not just plug the R3 directly to the ONT? What update are you on? Do you have any internet rules enabled? If so disable them When you reboot the router, are you going back into DumaOS to disable speed test bypass? Have you disabled steady ping? When you reboot the router, do you go back to DumaOS and disable steady ping? Have you disabled all of the protection and spanning tree protocols in troubleshooting? Do you have a log file? What is your DNS set to? IPv6 enabled or disabled at WAN? IPv6 enabled or disabled at LAN?
  16. What firmware are you on for the R3? Your logs seem different from the most recent firmwares as your cloud download/sync is not giving a decrep error before refreshing?
  17. Looking at the logs you'll notice that a lot of processes stop or crash, almost like it doesn't have enough ram or memory leaks, crashes and restart. The routers software at the moment I'm assuming isn't in the most stable condition. Limiting the amount of add on/duma features for right now is probably best thing if you want stability
  18. The internet rules broke my Internet speeds completely, literally cut them by half. No idea why, I disabled the RGB lights and as long as I i don't refresh the geofilter filter every day I haven't needed to reboot the router (minus my Xbox not wanting to use the ports i manually opened for it when I have geofilter enabled
  19. Delete the internet rules, enable smart boost, enable UPnP, reboot the router and try again
  20. Looking at the logs, it looks like you have enabled some port Forwarding correct? Do you still have UPnP enabled? Do you have any devices in geofilter? Is steady ping enabled? Even though you have smart boost disabled, do/did you have any devices/apps listed? When I had this issue, I had to remove all devices from Geo-filter, delete all of my port forwarding settings, enable UPnP, enabled smart boost, but removed everything listed within apps and devices, reboot the router, then disable steady ping since it automatically turns back on after reboots. My settings as of now: all protections disabled telemetry data disabled UPnP enabled IPv6 disabled at wan IPv6 ENABLED at lan (only way to fix other errors I had been experiencing) smart boost enabled in simple mode but no items/apps loaded into it Steady ping disabled Geo latency enabled Since then I stopped seeing those fast paths errors as much, but they still pop up every so often.
  21. And should the router have almost 4 full screens of this these errors?
  22. Did this start happening over the past week or has this been an ongoing issue?
  23. What is your computer labeled as in device manager?
  24. I have these same logs when calls are being made over VoIP/WiFi calling
  25. Well I can confirm that removing the Xbox from Geo-filter, manually selecting another port, then going back to automatic reverts it back to 3074, and then shows open nat type with no issues. So at this point I just want to make sure I understand, because its starting to feel like paid beta. Which I might have been okay with, if I knew it from the beginning. The routers main features and selling points: Geo-filter: Needs to be disabled to have Xbox function, when enabled doesn't show proper servers that game is connecting to, or doesn't properly filter out locations, or is connecting outside of parameters that are set. steady ping (currently not functioning properly, recommended to be disabled, and needs to be constantly disabled due to turning back on) smart boost(also causing issues and has been recommended to be disabled) hybrid VPN (not available at the moment) ping optimizer (sometimes works) The standard features: IPv6 currently having issues, recommended to be disabled Wifi experiencing speed issues Wired experiencing speed issues UPnP currently experiencing issues/conflicting with geofilter Port forwarding currently experiencing issues/conflicting with geofilter
