  1. Yeah, I'm still working on that one. I've updated the OP to remove the 3000-7000 (although not that high in op) as that only prioritized data about your stats it seems. So they aren't needed. I am seeing improvement with movement with just 30000-45000 range. It appears you want to keep the traffic prioritization rules to a minimum (for now). But I am seeing better hit rego with smg's now. Also movement seems better. But it's still nothing like BO4. If I come across anything else I'll update. But the game isn't designed to move like BO4. Although I understand the goal to be to be able to run/gun and shoot 1st kill 1st with smgs in MW is the actual goal (like a minority can do, not sure how yet). But for BO4 it's the "bee's knees" lol. So I'm noticing a slight improvement in movement in BO4 removing those additional rules for Traffic Prioritization. The game felt easy and didn't realize I was getting that many opponents. In MW when sbmm isn't in play I'm seeing much better fluidity though. I can actually run, point and shoot with a lot of success. Now I join this game with about 3-5 minutes of play already in progress.

Ok I tried @blackfirehawk tip and concentrated on range 30000-45000 and removed the lower ranges 3000-7000 and I was registering hits from those shot at peeping around corners and going back into the corner (MW). So even though they weren't on my screen any more I was still registering hits. Looks like you might want to keep the rules in Traffic Prioritization to a minimum.
  3. Yeah, it most certainly is working for me in MW. However, do to how they slowed weapon usage down (aim down sight, etc) and the lower player count BO4 really shines when you run/gun IMO. Although I will say that with BO4 things are more consistent. No doubt about that. Which leads me to believe it's a server problem with MW not a prioritization problem.
  4. Ok there are some dodgy servers out there. I could tell instantly when I joined the match. Sluggish movement, player movements seem off. Getting easily picked off. It's really hard to explain but you know something isn't right. I leave that server and get into another match and all is right again. This is the 1st I've seen that. Not sure what was going on. So if you get into match, regardless of the map, and you know something isn't right just leave and join another.
  5. Pro Tip: Whenever a game gets multiple updates it's best to do a uninstall and reinstall when you notice problems. This goes for any game. ---------------------------------------------------------------- As for N3CR0 issue it's hard to diagnose a solution until we see some actual game play from him to visually see what exactly is going on. --------------------------------------------------------------- From what I've been told part of sbmm is to de-register hit rego on certain players who are struggling (bullets shoot through a certain player). However, you would have to be completely dominating and have a high k/d. I just found about about this tonight.   7. Well it gives priority to those packets so that you can game as intended by the developers (in laymen terms from my understanding). I'm still looking for that brave person to try and setup their IP modem and play BO4/MW and see if there is any tangible difference? This would help answer the question if there is a difference. And why, from their prospective their friends don't have such a router and yet game so well. Personally, I already know that my modem doesn't improve game play by itself. However, I've read a few posts from some who are adamant about this. From what I've gathered it appears to be a server issue on Activision end. From what I've read it's the belief that the servers used are antiquated/over saturated and are in dare need of upgrading. This is why some matches are worst then others. Now this is besides the SBMM which compounds it. I can't say if that's true or not. But if it is it would explain a lot. That would also explain why in other games like BF series, game play and hit rego is so consistent. But again, I can't confirm this to be the case.
  8. Seye Ok, I've played a few rounds in MW, several different maps and must say that UDP does indeed work well instead of both.
  9. UDP only? I'm not sure why using both would cause a problem like that. From the other thread some do use tcp. Hmm, how do you have your Traffic Prioritization setup can you post a pic? And could you provide examples of what the differences are between udp and both in game? I understand that it's smoother for you. Not sure how it was better? @blackfirehawk You might be on to something. Large ranges don't seem to work or work as good when you segment them to smaller ranges. The only other issue is using both tcp and udp. I am still trying to figure out if "both" also has that problem or do we have to use udp then setup ranges for tcp??? I hope not.
  10. It's not enjoyable at all to be honest. I think they do it to get achievements, etc as it's much harder then in other COD titles with SBMM dialed to 11. I wanted to point out if you come across someone like that they can and will wreck that match. All can do it all by themselves. Which is why I say leave the match and find something else.
  11. I take anyone who tells me that they don't use such devices for "cheating" with a grain of salt. Because, that is what it is commonly known for. However, there is still another device and if you notice anyone running around the map like this just leave and find another server. Because if you try to combat with a person like this they will get you to question how well your xr router is working. They will make you think you are lagging and your bullets aren't registering because of how effective the device works. BTW I updated the OP.
  12. Agreed! I would suggest that they simply try a few rounds with just their modem to see if they notice a difference or not. Setup the modem to use Upnp like normal, etc.
  13. For me in Modern warfare when one match ended it was modest delay before searching for another match. Now it's almost instant and I see users populating. So I know what you are talking about. But I didn't notice that until I added ports from the 3000 range. I assume some of them are tcp from talks in the other thread in the OP. What exactly was a significant difference using TCP? It is strange that you didn't get the same results from both udp/tcp vs just tcp. Shouldn't both work for just tcp if tcp is required for that port? BTW thanks for the follow up.
  14. That's a stretch of the imagination. To get PC working as good as console take a feat of research, trial and error that boggles the mind since updating from win7! The amount of bloat and crap on win10 that hampers overall performance for none xbox title games is several levels of insanity. It's no wonder more aren't on here trying to "fix it". Trust me, when it comes to games consoles are far better optimized (more direct to metal approach, no middle api, no crappy apps that you have to disable/turn off/shutdown, etc). One of the biggest areas of concern is the network adapter and how it's suppose to be "tweaked" along with changes to win10 that correspond to it. It's no cake walk. Perhaps you could upload a video of game play that shows what frustrates you so much about BO4. That way we can have a better understanding of what issues you are encountering. Any way, are you able to see what port your console is using? I'm talking about the port for your console, not the port used for modern warfare/BO4 (it's usually 5 digits)? It should show up on Upnp for your R1/XR router. If so, have you tried using that port along with the 3074 for traffic prioritization?
  15. I am no longer experiencing those issues. Although you consider your connection solid and we are playing the same game(s) I can assure you that the update isn't the issue. Those issues hasn't been a problem in a long time now. And I still play BO4 too.
  16. I thought no QoS fixed the issue for you? Shot 1st, die first and overall sluggish movement? Have you turned off, then unplugged your modem yet? It's been known that unplugging it (if it doesn't have an off switch) for about 10-20 minutes has helped. However, if things get worst again in an hour or so then it's suggested to replace the modem or find a way to cool it. I also would suggest that you check the cable used to get internet from as well. Is it coaxial cable or something else? Replace any cable that shows signs of a 70-90 degree bends in them Do you make any coaxial or cat connections via wall outlet? Unscrew the wall outlet(s) and check for any splits sharp bends, etc and replace as needed. Also check any outside connectors and cabling as well leading into the house. This suggestion is more on the extreme side since you've tried everything else.
  17. What I've noticed is that my time to kill is much lower. Instead of 5-9 bullets it's now 2-5 or so depending on the weapon and distance. Now this is coming from someone who was having problems before. Where I shot 1st, make several hits, and still died because my opponent needed less bullets. Now I can engage them head on and win most of the time if I get my shots off 1st. Now if someone never experienced issues like this then those tweaks won't make much of a difference. Their connection to the game is already optimal. Sure every little bit helps. But at that point it's all about aim/aim assist, choosing the right weapon for that map, knowing the angles and knowing when the spawns flip or not.

  19. I cannot say. For me MW doesn't like Anti buffer bloat. So I set it to never and just use QOS to adjust up/down speeds. I do believe you have to have Goodput checked in ABB.
  20. From my tests, others can chime in, it didn't work. I had to narrow the ports down. That's when I begin to start to see a difference. If it works for you go for it. But for me, I always notice I was behind my teammates and it still took longer for my TTK. Not sure why that is. Also, setting Anti buffer bloat to never helped me immensely! Funny too because even though activision tells you set open all those ports the only port that UpnP recognize is 3074 (for others it's 3075). I never saw those other ports open up. But opening them up via port forwarding did nothing either (at least for me). And, I'm talking going back to BO4.
  21. @ugotstretched That's opening ports so you have open nat. This is something else. This is prioritizing packets using traffic prioritization. The reason for this is because Activision doesn't list all the ports their servers use. We are looking for those ports as it adds to better hit registration and you will be on time with the server. It won't make you a better player. For example, if you want to run/gun you have to have a tweaked smg. If you want to defend, camp, cover a strategic area you need to tweak your assault rifle, etc. Know the spawn points, have great aim, etc. @Rodney Rosado You use either/or I will say that there are plenty of players out there that never had this issue. Even if you notice improvements don't think you got the jump of people as much at you think. Some always had this level of hit rego/timing.
  22. This thread (and others) is created to assist those who are having chronic hit rego and lag movement issues in which the game is simply not enjoyable. It was determined that there are port ranges that need to be placed in traffic prioritization that are not listed by the games developers. The point to this is that by prioritizing those ports one would have better hit registration and overall better fluidity in the game(s) you play. The information provided to you is not a final on the research presented so far. Furthermore, testing is ongoing. It take this community as a whole to help gather more data/input to determine what works and what doesn't. Please keep that in mind when reading this thread. Thanks Ok here is a list of ports you want to test for Traffic Prioritization as discussed in this thread: 1. Reboot modem. Next reboot your router (if you don't have any double nat issues if you do go to step 2, 1st). 2. Make sure you don't have double NAT (google how to check). However you can do either a tracert or check your router to see if you are using a private or public ip. If private more then likely you have double nat. In order to compensate for double nat you will need to use your modem to place your router in DMZ (google how to). Afterwards you may need to reboot your modem then your router again in order for it to take effect. 3. For your XR router make sure you Disable DumaOS Classified Games. 4. Uncheck Shared Excess for both download and upload from Bandwidth Allocation. Make sure that your Down/Up Bandwidth is correct. Do a speed test with just your modem to verify. 5. Delete all existing rules if you haven't added these before. 6. Set Anti-Buffer Bloat settings to both 100 and set it to never. (for me even on "Never" I'm still capped to ABB slider for up/down). Test this to see if you notice any improvement. If not re-enable it. R1 users may want to keep ABB. For me, having tested this in several matches I am now "on time" with the server and on par with other players. No more .5 seconds behind other players. 7. Make sure that the port for your console is actually in Upnp. Take note of it (it's usually 5 digit number). Make sure that port corresponds with your console and not some other device. It has been suggested to tie in that rule along within Traffic Prioritization to 3074-3075. Like this: Source: (port to your console) -> Destination: 3074-3075 and vise versa for your other rule. Results have been inconclusive and more testing is needed to determine if there is any impact doing so. I've read that tying in your console port to the actual port ranges as well in both source and destination and destination to source. But again, further research is needed to determine if this actually works or not. 8. Adjust Bandwidth Allocation as needed. 9. Set the following rules for Traffic Prioritization For UDP. It takes trial/error on your part between those games that use udp vs those that require tcp. Source 3074-3075 -> Destination 3100-3500 Source 3100 - 3500 -> Destination 3074 - 3075 This is not needed for the actual game itself (it seems). You are prioritizing data about your stats more so then anything else. I've noticed at the end of the round that my rank up wouldn't animate (filling up the circle). It would be instantaneous. Albeit I was also prioritizing 2000-7000 udp as well. This was/is unnecessary. Thanks @blackfirehawk for the tip. Source 3074-3075 -> Destination 30000-45000 Source 30000-45000 -> Destination 3074-3075 Once added reboot the Router (to assure that the settings stick). Using the 1st set of rules. And make sure that the port for your console shows up in Upnp. If you don't use Upnp you may want to enable it, disable port forwarding (or delete the rules for them) reboot the router find your port for your console. Then add that port to port forwarding once you know what it is and disable upnp if you perfer port forwarding. Thanks to @kinel, @GHOST-1-EC and others for the research. Example (Best k/d yet for me): Disclaimer: This is not a "tweak" to help you get an edge on other players. Nor will this help improve an already great hit rego experience. If you are already consistently coming in 1st through 4th place in matches these settings may be of little benefit for you. These settings are "suggested" as a base line and may require further research (IE: Wireshark, etc) on your part to get the optimal port ranges suited for your geo-location, etc. EDIT 12/21/19: It appears that after a few updates things get borked with Modern Warfare (and BO4). I found out that in order to get better fluidity in my movement I had to reinstall the game after about 2-3 updates. The ranges above does indeed work 3074-3075 30000-45000 (in 5000-8000 increments). And for me, keeping ABB to never using 75% of my download speed (lowering it more with bandwidth allocation) seems to really bring the game up to par. I've found nothing else that would allow me to be ahead of everyone else in movement, etc so far. If anything else comes up I would update.
