How has it been for your PS4/5 users out there?

Thanks for the update. Good to hear that its fixed! But, how long will I have to wait before it's released for the xr450?

Thanks, I appreciate you looking into this for a fix. For this to come up now after all this time...It's pretty hard pill to swallow. I do currently have 2.3.2.134 (installed several months ago...what a year now...). I recall getting this error once before but it refreshed itself and went away (earlier this month). I've used DUMAOS multiple times without issue. Even resync the cloud and for several days/weeks in/out of DumaOS. But all of a sudden towards the end of this month I get that error. So, I can only assume there was some sort of cloud update recently for the xr450.

Huh, would you look at that. I just realized there is a sticky thread about this very issue. My bad...

So, you one day decide to go into DUMAOS for some random reason and are greeted with DumaOS not loaded yet! So, you clear your web browser cache and try again. Same result. You reboot your router and still, the same result. Next, you unplug the router for a few hours, clear the web browser cache and try again using a different web browser. Same results. So you try your tablet, phone, another laptop. Same result. And you are at wits end trying to figure out what happened between the last time you used DumaOS and now that would cause this issue. And you cannot find anything you did that would cause this issue. So you start searching the interwebs and it brought you to this thread. Well, you are in luck. Here I will compile information that explains why it happens. Rest assured you did nothing wrong. However, the fix is rather more complex. A temporary fix is to go back to a firmware well before DumaOS 3.0. However, you should already be aware that internet use is just fine. The GUI for DumaOS is borked. I recall this issue back in 2019. It was determined it was the result of a faulty cloud update of some kind that effected the GUI of DUMA OS. Resetting the router doesn't work. And doing so will only result in you not having access to the internet as you won't be able to complete the setup as "DumaOS not loaded yet!" will return. What seems to work is using either: https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-do-I-upload-firmware-to-my-NETGEAR-router-using-TFTP-from-the-Microsoft-Windows-Command-Prompt Or, you use: 192.168.1.1/adv_index.htm Login. Then navigate to Administration > Firmware Upgrade (download the firmware 1st to you pc). And downgrade back to .32. Yes! all the way back to 2.3.2.32 firmware. Anything higher then this may result in either Rapp crashing or DumaOS not loaded yet errors. This should get you a functional DUMAOS. Although not 3.0. Now here's were it gets tricky. Upgrading back to the current firmware of newer firmware may or may not fix the issue. Because the issue stems from and I quote: So, unless the team over a DumaOS address this cloud server update (that updates regardless if you have updates enabled or disabled). It's very likely you will update the firmware to a more current version only for the cloud sever to also update the faulty data causing the GUI issue all over again. This is a GUI issue (from what I've noticed). And, doesn't seem to effect my devices connected nor internet speeds. As long as I don't reset the router all is fine. You just don't have GUI interaction with DUMOS 3.0 unless you use the link above with only advance functionality. Once this is fixed all you need to do is reboot your router and clear your browser cache and it's fixed. As found here: Unless there is something else borked with your router you shouldn't need to go back to .32. Everything should be working just fine. I can only assume I am not the only one experiencing this issue. So I wanted to compile a summary explaining what happened, how it happened and how to temporary fix it. However, if the information from Fraser is accurate (and I have no reason to believe otherwise) the real fix will come from DumaOS developer team to address whatever they did to this cloud update in Aug 2022 and undo it. So that we get both Rapp and GUI functionality back. Without needing to downgrade firmware. I post this because I researched this for hours to find out why this is happening. What others have done. And it'd clear that resetting the router or reinstalling the same firmware doesn't work. As the cloud update will simply reinstall itself borking the GUI and or some of the Rapps. @Netduma Alex @Netduma Fraser @Netduma Admin , etc Can someone look into this issue and see if this can be fixed again for the xr450?

I make this thread with some level of reservation. As it is unclear how those who are actually decent at the game will be EOMM'd. Which has a tendency to mimic network problems. However, it will not be long before (in a few weeks) the 1st beta starts and I wanted to create a thread in which discussion can be had on game play impressions regarding: Hit Registration Input latency Movement Speeds Responsiveness More importantly, will you be playing on dedicated servers or peer-to-peer? To name a few. Most importantly it's not clear what technical strides were made with the game's net code. Will it be no different then prior COD games or has things gotten better or worst? Will we see 120hz tick rate servers in MP/Warzone? What kind of pings are you seeing while playing during peak hours? Are you experiencing "Strict SBMM" not allowing you to move throughout the map? Are you seeing the same players even though lobbies are disbanding? Can you play splitscreen with family/friends? Can you play with your family on the same router/modem? Can you play with friends on your friends list? These are but a few of the questions that will be of value to COD veterans who plan on getting this game. I am sure there are others. Until then, take care.

Great, thank you.

Is this QoS tagging compatible/recommended on the XR Series routers using DumaOS 2.XX.XX? If enabled from the xbox what would I need to do in DumaOS to ensure compatibility with my router?

Since ISP's are showcasing gigabyte download speeds I was wondering if plans are made for router that offers 2GB Ethernet ports? So that you can get close to the cap of your download speeds of 1GB to 2GB range?

Traffic Prioritization Settings: Modern Warefare (BO4)
East replied to East's topic in Call of Duty Support
Ah yes, I recall. However, I thought he was using some sort of special Logitech profile for the mouse to get consistent target acquisition. I'm very familiar with and have excellent muscle memory. However, there are times when the mouse fails to do what I expect. Sometimes overshooting and undershooting my intended target. However, muscle memory is the same when all was well the match before. When I play some other match everything is fine and head glitchers don't have a chance with me, for example. So I know I have good muscle memory. So, it's a question of some settings in the logitech software? Perhaps a tweak in win10? Is one mouse sensor better then another? PMW3366 vs hero? Something else? -

Yes, I was looking at those and couldn't find how he has his PC setup. In particular the mouse. I have the same mouse/pad and cannot get consistent tracking like he does. Where it "snaps to target". It does it intermittently for me and wanted to know what he did to fix it on his end. Another thought is there isn't any difference between the wired and wireless 502 Lightspeed vs the Wired (Hero) that I know of that would make a difference. -

And here I thought it was a game bug!!! I wondered why sometimes I don't hear footsteps from some players. And you are right, they don't have dead silence. Yet they can run around, climb, jump and be unheard. And it's the same thing in Drift0r's video at 2:05:47. -

This video is not safe for work but it's Drift0r saying the exact same thing. And check out the router he is using people!!! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/680911853?t=2h5m54s -

Yup, I read the reddit post on that and it's in the game. But very few believe it though. Here's a video Wut!!!?? What!!!?? How?? Yup, it's a game design. And some people here think the router is bad and that's not the case at all. -

Of course! you have 2 devices with nat routing options. You negate it by placing the router in dmz. So all the security, port forwarding, UpNp, etc are demilitarized to your router. When you do a check to see if you have double nat it will always show double nat but without the negative side effects associated with it. So now you can setup rules from your router instead of your modem. IE: Modem >>>>Router>>>>PC/Console. At this point your PC/Console shouldn't be seen by your modem, only your router. So now you can control the flow of traffic to your PC/Console directly from your router with no restrictions, issues. Just make sure your router is setup properly to recognize the modem so you get the proper ip address, IPV4, IPV6, etc. -

then use the one the modem recognize. Just make sure it's for the R1. -

Ok you should have two windows open. To the left is the GUI for your Modem. To the right is the GUI of your router. Navigate the GUI for your modem to DMZ. Then navigate the GUI for your router to where you can find the IP address of your router. Type the ip address of your router into the DMZ of the modem. Do not copy and paste. If that doesn't work check to make sure that your modem recognized your router's IP address in it's list of all devices connected to the modem. Make sure that the ip address matches. -

Exactly!!!!!!!! This is it 100% It's like the game cripples you. I felt that in the game I posted results from and it effected my whole team. I've witness my teammates shoot 1st, empty half a clip and still die 1st. And when it happens you can tell an immediate difference. I simply changed up my playing style but depending on how bad it is you simply have to leave the server. When it doesn't happen at all you can go on a 30-0 spree!!!! But yeah the 1st sign is that someone on the other team becomes invincible. You can shoot him, put 10 rounds in him and still won't die. Another sign is when someone is way to "fast" running around the map. They aren't cheating because when they run up on you from around a corner they are just as surprised as you are and can't react in time so I melt them. But yes, you hit the nail on the head. That's exactly what it is. For lack of a better term we will simply refer to it as SBMM until more information is leaked about this. That's why I wanted to post a pic of the results. We were actually doing well for the 1st 3-4 minutes of the match then everything changed. I felt it but it didn't effect me as much as it did my teammates. And they weren't "Jimmy no thumbs" they were some competent players. Most of the problems was that odd latency and bullets not registering. -

You have to use the ip address of your router and place it in the DMZ of your modem. That's the only real way to overcome double nat. The modem is usually provided by your ISP. You have to navigate that modem Graphic User Interface to find demilitarized zone (DMZ). Input the IP address that your router use. Then reboot your modem then your router for it to take effect.
