Damn Fraser what in tarnations are they doing over there? Is their staff of one highschool student intern done with this firmware yet? How does this take years for updates? Any tech support you offer must have a 97 percent fail rate due to the awnser inevitably being " sorry our software sucks". What can possible take so amazingly long? Obviously you have nothing to do with it. And this entire thread is useless. Try to make us understand so we may actually ever buy another product from your Momo bosses. Perhaps send someone over to Nvidia and figure out how they have 9999999999npriducts yet still manage new driver updates every other month. What do you think the problem is Frasier you know more than us

Just out of curiosity, is it Netgear giving out sloppy firmware for all the issues or a collaboration of both parties not coming to an agreement on how things are done? the firmware for this router seems horrendous. Duma os is very nice and polished in its ui and the duma os portions work rather well. But the actual functionality is a dumpster fire. If its the fw id like to know so i can crossflash to something else. The hardware seems more than adequate.

It's March and they haven't launched the beta yet. You always use the same narrative: It shouldn't be long now. What would be too much for you? 1 year? 2 years? Don't you think you should let Netgear know how unhappy we are with this delay? Maybe it will help them release the beta.

i sold my xr1000 today. tired to wait something that never arrived. feel like a weight has been lifted off my stomach.  bye bye xr1000!!

No creo que vuelva a comprar esta marca nunca más, esto es un insulto al cliente que compro vuestro router de gama más alta. Voy a vender mi router y volvere a una compañia seria y respetable como lo es ASUS, ya que no dejais de engañarnos y darnos largas en cuanto la actulizacion, deberia daros verguenza, dejar en la estacada a vuestros clientes es una actitud poco seria.

I won't buy Duma OS ever again. I've never seen it take so long to release a BETA firmware version. If it were the final version, I would even understand. But beta, generally the user is the one who tests. Hence the name BETA TEST. That's what they want, for you to give up what is no longer supported, and buy what will be supported.

For over 2 yers to hear:

No sign of beta yet then shame really i wanted to use my xr1000 for atleast a while longer but can see it getting binned off. 600 quid spent on netduma based routers only to be left in the dark i know some of it is netgears fault. Just have to get the r3 later in the year. 
 

I also own the XR1000, and I'm very disappointed with the support it receives. It doesn't make sense that a top-of-the-line router doesn't get updates and the attention it deserves.

It's mid-January and so far they haven't released the Xr1000 beta. All this support for the R3 and seeing you "crap" about the XR1000 just makes me understand that you want to force the consumer to buy the R3 to continue support. This is ridiculous!
