Could I also get access if possible. @Netduma Fraser Thank you.

You my man are a genius. I though I had tried everything but who would of though the internet rules would bring the house down. I'm going to cut the RGB lights also just in case. If the rules are doing this... I can now imagine the RGB light could also....who knows at this point.

I really hope so. Spdsk8race advice (Delete the internet rules, enable smart boost, enable UPnP, reboot the router and try again) made it work. Not sure why but it worked. I just hope that my device wont keep on locking up like before because I enabled SmartBoost. Finger crossed.

WTF!!!!!!! I deleted the internet rules, enabled SmartBoost and UPnP was already enabled. I also delete the Xbox from the geo-filter before. I reboot and it is now working again. Thank you SOOOOOOOOO much. The only thing I fear now is that I had SmartBoost disabled because it would my my router unstable to the point where I had to reboot the router every three days or so. Sometime once a day. As you can imagine everybody in the home was PISSED (even though it easy to power-cycle). I will try to leave it on and see if it reboots again. I have to choose my battles, or have my VOIP work or get blasted by the family everyday because the internet locks up......I tell you. Thank you once again.

Wow....Crazy. I tried disabling everything before and it still did not work, That being said I had disabled not my port forwarding rule (i don't have any) but I had Internet rules, but I kept them there disabled. I tried disabling/enabling uPnP and that made no difference. In Geofilter just a XBox is listed. Steady Ping is off.

It started this week. Tuesday 3/5/24 it was working fine....no issues and then 3/6/24 it stopped working. I did not do any changes.
-
The issue is the same thing happen with the app running on my cell phone also.

When you do VOIP calls are you getting audio and does your mic work? I can make and receive calls but I cannot hear them and the caller cannot hear me.

One more thing and it should not matter but since I installed the R3 (coming from the R1) my default IP address for the network is 192.168.88.X and not the new preferred 192.168.77.X on the R3 Like I mentioned, the R3 is not doing DHCP and I have a separate device doing DHCP. I don't see how this could be the issue but perhaps just mention that to the Devs.
-
Thank you. Much appreciated.

I set the PC with a static IP (I don't use DHCP on R3) and the issue still happened. The minute I make a phone call I get in the logs: user.notice overwatch-initd:: [0;33m[WARNING]: [0mIllegal attempt to suspend fastpath denied user.notice overwatch-initd:: [0;33m[WARNING]: [0mIllegal attempt to suspend fastpath denied user.notice overwatch-initd:: [0;33m[WARNING]: [0mIllegal attempt to suspend fastpath denied

I forgot to mention that I even disabled UPnP and added Internet Rules for RingCentral. That did not work either.

SmartBoost is already disabled (if I don't have this disabled the R3 will lock up from time to time. This has been disabled for over 1 month). Lets put it this way, I even tried with every and I mean every setting disabled. I disabled the following: IPV6 on LAN/WAN, DHCP, Steady Ping, SmartBoost, Ad Blocker, Spanning Tree Protocol, Port Scan Protection, Syn Flood Protection all at the same time then rebooted just to be sure. I'm still having the issue.

So I have determined that it must be the R3. I went ahead and installed a VPN software on my PC and phone. Being connected to the network on either device, if I enabled the VPN then I'm able to get audio and mic. I even manually change the DNS to Google on both devices and it still will not work. It will only work if I use a VPN. With the VPN enabled I do not get the suspend fastpath denied error on the R3. I hope this helps. I cannot keep the VPN on due to security issues accessing certain websites for work.

I keep on getting the following errors in my logs when I make a phone call: user.notice overwatch-initd:: [0;33m[WARNING]: [0mIllegal attempt to suspend fastpath denied user.notice overwatch-initd:: [0;33m[WARNING]: [0mIllegal attempt to suspend fastpath denied user.notice overwatch-initd:: [0;33m[WARNING]: [0mIllegal attempt to suspend fastpath denied user.notice overwatch-initd:: [0;33m[WARNING]: [0mIllegal attempt to suspend fastpath denied I'm attaching the logs R3_2024-03-06T20_21_10.845Z_logs.txt

I work from home and today I'm having a weird issue. I currently on version 4.0.41 and have not done any changes to my configuration. Not sure what could of happen but my RingCentral app (a VOIP program I use for work) can make phone calls but no mic or audio is getting thru. I have the app on both my system and my phone. Both do the same thing. The PC is connected via Ethernet. I tried also connecting via Wi-Fi and it still does not work. I connected the PC to a hotspot and the program then works. On my phone, the same thing, connected to my Wi-Fi, it does not work. I connect directly to my carrier and it works. The RingCentral app was not updated recently (it worked yesterday) so I not sure what could have changed. I went to RingCentral's website and even went ahead and created Internet Rules for all the ports and still no mic or audio. Has anything changed? Does any one else have this problem? Of course I tried also rebooting the Netduma R3 and still nothing. Any help would be much appreciated.

Here you go. It's in the forums. https://forum.netduma.com/forum/106-latest-firmwares/

Just an update for anyone that is also having the issue. I left SmartBOOST enabled but i removed anything it had in the favorite priorities. It has not had any issues in over 72 hours. At least with it enabled you can have your ping optimized (Congestion Control). My Bufferboalt tests come out at A+

This almost sound like the issue I have. Have you tried to disabling SmartBOOST just to see if that stops your WAN loss? I would also suggest disabling IPV6 on both LAN and WAN if you have bot done so already. Give it a try and see if that corrects the issue.
-
So yesterday morning I went ahead and rebooted the system and left SmartBOOST on. The only difference I did this time is that I did not set any priorities in SmartBOOST. It has been up and running for over 24 hours. So in essence the system does not lockup as long and I either disable SmartBOOST or I have SmartBOOST enabled but with no priorities. Not sure this will help. As far as my modem, I am not able to see the model because Frontier has it in a locked box. I do know that it is a fiber connection and a direct ethernet connection to the R3. No need for DMZ or anything. It get a direct IP address.
-
Just curious, have you tried disabling SmartBOOST to see if that stops the lockups also? I'm currently testing it with different settings on Enabled but when I do disable the SmartBOOST, I have had the R3 go for almost 1 week without any issue.

I have encountered this error every since the initial purchase of the R3. Basically what has been happening is that everything is working correctly and after a random amount of time, all my devices (on the network either plugged in Ethernet of Wi-Fi) state that there is no internet connection. I try to connect to the R3 either per ethernet of Wi-Fi and I cannot connect (was trying to collect the logs). Only a power cycle (using the power button) re-established my internet. Reading thru the forums, I saw multiple suggestions but what ultimately stopped the "lockups or loss of internet " was disabling SmartBOOST. I have updated to 4.0.23, 4.0.40 and 40.0.41 and all of them present the same issue for me. I would also like to note that I have factory reset the R3 every time I have upgraded the firmware. I have also waited 10 minutes or so after firmware upgrading the R3 so that things get sorted out per say. Then I reboot the R3 and then start my configuration. My configuration consists of: Disabling IPV6 on LAN & WAN. Disabling DHCP. Change default IP from 192.168.77.1 to 192.168.88.1. Since I have a DNS/DHCP solution using a RaspBerry Pi device, it is all configured for the 88.X network (It was the R1 default). Manually set Download and Upload speeds. Optimize ping. (Yes it sometime takes multiple tries but I usually don't have too much of an issue doing it). Adding SmartBOOST priorities: Since I work from home I add Work From Home, VoIP, Email, Video & Streaming, Gaming & Cloud Gaming (in that order). I lost internet today around 6:30 am PST (This was testing the R3 with 40.0.41 and SmartBOOST enabled). As a last test I rebooted the R3 to reestablished my internet and left SmartBOOST enabled. The difference that i have not tested is that I removed all priorities. So it is enabled with nothing to prioritize. So far it has not locked up today but I do have to note that with 4.0.41 the reboots are less frequent to where before it would only take a couple of hours (lets say 3 or 4) and after 4.0.41 it lasted 20 hours without a lockup. I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this issue or perhaps some might have a suggestion also. P.S. I almost forgot to mention. I also have tested using the older firmware versions .23, .40 disabling/enabling Spanning Tree Protocol, Port Scan Protection, Syn Flood Protection (all located in Advanced settings under Troubleshooting) but this three settings did not have any affect with the lockup. Thanks for any help.

Sign me up if possible. I have to work tomorrow but if you could send me the firmware (granted if it comes out) that would be great. Thanks

Thank you for the tip. I was not aware of that setting. One interesting thing to note. If you look at the groups you can find VoIP but if you bring up the dropdown box, VoIP is not listed. So there is no way to see what is classified under VoIP.
