I watched a video where a youtuber showed his ping and it was virtually flat lined. Mine has alot of spikes, is this normal?

Depends on the host, how often do you experience the spikes?

As Fraser says it depends on the host.  I get some really nice stable pings with some hosts and horrible jitter with others.

I guess it depends what's going on on the hosts LAN and internet connection.

All hosts should be made to buy R1s ;)

It also depends on your i.s.p's ping and jitter on your own line.

Run the netdumas diagnostics to find out how good your connection is :)

In every game, it's like watching a heartbeat monitor. I expect that would happen joining and ending games, but this is in the middle of games.

Always best to check base first then look out :) glad thats ok.

Like Akic and Fraser has said it is probally a host or server with a lot of jitter, nothing you or the duma can do about that.

You can block the host ;)

Vance how high are the ping spikes, anything less than 20ms is nothing to worry about at all. Thats pretty normal.
