I keep getting disconnected on the smart TV and it looses its IP then I get a 169.address from the rotuer, the only solution is a reset of the netduma. any ideas folks

ltr7
I have a cable modem, just a black box no settings or adjustments.
faulko
I have a cable modem, just a black box no settings or adjustments. Go into your modem and add the duma into the dmz. Bare in mind this also puts anything connected to the duma infront of the modems firewall. Find upnp in the modem and turn it off if it lets you. Google the modem model number if you need help. Akic
Modems don't have DMZs they are transparent and pass all traffic to the R1
ltr7
Yes as Akic stated I think you must have a modem-router, I'm just running a standard modem.
