YEESH_DALE Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I've searched the forums and google with no returns on this problem. So if this has been answered i do apologise! Basically my phone has issues being connected to the Netduma, i've had this issue on old and new firmwares and old and new phones. (currently the LGG4) Problem description: After my phone has been connected to the Duma for a short period, any browsing performed on the phone gets stuck in an endless page loading scenario. An example would be! Opening a webbrowser and searching in google or clicking a frequent tab, and being stuck on page loading. Or opening twitter / facebook and getting stuck in endless load cycles. The only way to break this is to disconnect and reconnect wifi... This is a problem i have been putting up with since i got the router "early adopter" i keep meaning to report the problem, but then i'm either too lazy to do so, or i get distracted. It was suggested to me to download Wifi analyzer and select the best channel, i done this, it had no effect.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted October 23, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted October 23, 2015 Hi Dale Can you disable 'Wifi Workaround' in Settings >> Miscellaneous and see if that fixes the problem
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 23, 2015 Administrators Posted October 23, 2015 Crossy is right, the wifi workaround should work here
YEESH_DALE Posted October 23, 2015 Author Posted October 23, 2015 Such a simple fix, if it works.. Thanks guys.. Can i ask what exactly that setting is supposed to be doing, and the pros/cons of it? ------ This fixed my problem, thank you.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 23, 2015 Administrators Posted October 23, 2015 Great to hear that! Theres an issue with some phones and the rescanning of wifi I believe. So the wifi workaround was implemented to fix that issue. As this issue has been resolved I'll close the thread, feel free to make another if needed
