PharmDawgg Posted September 10, 2015 Share Posted September 10, 2015 You must have a modem of some sort in front of the router- either turn the modem/router in bridge mode(turn off the the router function and have the modem function only) and connect the R1 or do not use bridge mode and place the R1 in the DMZ of the modem/router. Just as a side note don't be concerned about security issues with placing it in the DMZ. There is a prebuilt firewall inside the R1. Game on.
