Crozzy Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 My internet keeps dropping out on (wifi and wired). I have wifi workaround disabled. Can't join a game online either.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 15, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted August 15, 2015 If you're connected directly to your old router do you get the drop outs?
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 15, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted August 15, 2015 How often are the drop outs, are they random or are they triggered by something?
Crozzy Posted August 15, 2015 Author Posted August 15, 2015 Random could be once every 2 mins or could be once every 2 hours
Crozzy Posted August 15, 2015 Author Posted August 15, 2015 I have disabled wifi on my BT home hub as that was interfering which seem to fix the problem for a couple of months but now its just as bad again

Then can you screen shot the relavent part of the graph when the connection goes down? You could also try switching the Etnernet cable that connects the Netduma and Home Hub.
Crozzy Posted August 15, 2015 Author Posted August 15, 2015 Do I have to wait for the connection to cut out because it hasn't done it now for about 30 mins but I still can't join a game online.
Crozzy Posted August 15, 2015 Author Posted August 15, 2015 I have it downloaded now but not sure what to do. Do I wait or can I force the drop out or do I even have to wait?
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 15, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted August 15, 2015 Well you can leave it running untill the internet cuts. But about not being able to join games, can you join them with the GeoFilter disabled?
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 15, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted August 15, 2015 Where do i put the trace target too? 8.8.8.8
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 15, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted August 15, 2015 No I have the Geo filter disabled So the button says 'Enable'? If you connect your console directly to BT router can you find games. And is this a recent thing with the drop outs and not finding games?
Crozzy Posted August 15, 2015 Author Posted August 15, 2015 Yes the button says enable ... plus its been an issue for about a month now just not had the time to game so only just found out I cant join games but the drop out has been happening for about a month. I first noticed when watching netfilx and trying to play Clash on Clans on my phone.
Crozzy Posted August 15, 2015 Author Posted August 15, 2015 Since I have restarted the router I haven't had a drop out but this is normally the case then a couple of days later it will start playing up again (sometimes it will do it again straight away though).
Crozzy Posted August 15, 2015 Author Posted August 15, 2015 Its just dropped out how to I insert a photo into this thread?
Crozzy Posted August 15, 2015 Author Posted August 15, 2015 Dropped a second time about 20 mins later didnt have the program running that time though.
Zennon Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Do you have another Ethernet cable to swap out between your modem and the Netduma ? to rule out a faulty cable
Crozzy Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 The I am using is the one you sent me ... I have a spare one somewhere Ill change this today and get back to you but when the drop out happens It makes my Home Hub 5 drop out, the home hub 5 flashes orange for a couple of mins and then comes back online.

Ok, so it is your other router too then. That sounds more like an issue with the Home Hub. Is it the Home Hub 5? If it is then I had this issue too and have used the Home Hub 4 since.
Crozzy Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 I don't have the home hub 4 any more, I might be able to pick one up from somewhere but If I take the Netduma out of the link the issue seems to go away.

I didn't really try and fix it when I had my issue, I just switched to the HH4 and that sorted it out. Do you have a modem, if you do can you connect the Netduma directly to that? And can you confirm that the issue definitely goes when the Netduma isn't connected. Have you tried switching out the ethernet?
