john22rob
i noticed that my xbox one was only downloading at 3mbps instead of 10mbps, a quick google said change my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and this worked a treat, my downloads were fine and at full speed, i've suffered with slow speeds since the release of the xbox one. i now have a strict nat and i cannot get rid of it. i tried entering the 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 direct onto the console and get strict nat I tried entering into the Netduma (this is my current configuration) and strict nat i've restarted my router and modem and done hard console resets during both of the above ive just enabled UPNP on the netduma and done another hard reset and still strict nat please help! Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 5, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 5, 2015 Have you followed this guide to see if that opens your NAT? I don't think your NAT should be dependent on the DNS servers you are using.

Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 5, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 5, 2015 Can you go to Settings >> Miscellaneous and enable UPnP Forwarding. Also, can you take a screen shot of the UPnP page on the duma when you are on the game?

Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 5, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 5, 2015 So it looks like the UPnP is working. Have you tried restarting the console again - when turning back on the GeoFilter being off? Also, have you ever had an open NAT? Is it just after changing the DNS settings? If so, could you set the DNS back to automatic?
john22rob
when i changed the upnp thats when i started having strict nat, prior to that i have had moderate and a reset of console and router/modem has always fixed this. ive restarted my console about 10 times with the filter off. i could put theDNS back to auto but then my downloads take forever
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 5, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 5, 2015 Could you put it back to automatic and test your NAT - this will show if it is the issue or not. If it is, there may be a solution. If it not then I'm sure there will be another solution - either way it would be useful to know if it is this causing the problem
