GuitarPanda Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Long time user, just reiterating I sincerely hope the team is working towards something unique that actually works. (Without slowly only fixing bugs for years) Almost three years now? It's been a long time since any major updates regarding leading edge features. I see you guys have slowly fixed bugs over time for the r3, so that's good. With AI assistance and "vibe coding" being so accessible now ,with a working open source firmware, (open wrt) and a support device, a lot can be done now with persistence by almost anyone with the right amount of patience. I was able to replicate what I remembered liking from netduma and added synthetic/steady ping for cod mostly, and was able to turn ping assist into my most used geo filter usage. I can filter lobbies in mw4 by either less than or more than ping wise. All in about 3 hours. (Tested and working) The qos options available on open wrt already are more customizable and powerful than what duma offers. If I can do this, than someone with actual experience could make something great within a short amount of time and overshadow netduma immediately. So I ask, are you guys taking reasonable timelines seriously now? Or will it be like how it is now forever? I don't consider more than a year of unique powerful features teased without execution reasonable. And the world is changing fast. I hope y'all aren't simply resting on your laurels.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 14 hours ago Administrators Posted 14 hours ago Do keep in mind that you've admitted to replicating patented software - this is why the other router companies haven't done it. Yes, we have mentioned a quite a few times that we're working on big features and that is why it has taken awhile.
Killerelite06 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago It was bound to happen with REA (Reverse engineer anything) tools being so easily accessible.

Ahh, this was made from open source projects all over GitHub, but I can remove the post or you can, that makes sense on other routers not doing it then.
