Juan Camilo Posted Sunday at 08:21 AM Posted Sunday at 08:21 AM Hello, Since july 9th I started to notice an issue with my Netduma R3, it's randomly disconnecting from internet. This is something that never happened to me before of that date ever. Because of the disconnections, I'm being kicked out in the middle of online games, zoom meetings, video streaming are being paused and so on. After a few seconds, the internet connection is back and the cycle repeats, which makes it very annoying. I had the latetst OS Duma version (v4.0.540) installed when this issue arose. I tried to downgrade to version 4.0.290 but the issue still occurred. I made a test by pinging www.google.com while tracking the internet connection. This is how it looks when the internet connection and the pings are working: However, when the R3 randomly loses the internet connection, this is how it looks (See the internet Status as Offline and the ping to google timing out): Right away after a few seconds, the internet connection gets restored again (The internet status is marked as green again and the pings to google are back): I took a look at the logs, however they aren't pretty much helpful since they're not recording the events of the disconnections: I made another test by connecting my devices directly to my ISP's router and I was able to keep the internet connection the whole time, without interruptions, so I'm discarding any issues with my ISP and its router since the issue is not being reproduced there. I'd really appreciate your help since before july everything was working fine and suddenly in july, this issue started to happen. I attach the logs in case you would like to go through it. Thank you. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Sunday at 08:51 AM Administrators Posted Sunday at 08:51 AM I've given you access to the latest firmware to try to see if that helps https://forum.netduma.com/topic/60946-new-r3-firmware-dumaos-401147/ Did anything in regards to settings or setup wise change on that date? What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode
JustinW Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I am having a similar problem. My wife has been complaining to me for the past couple of weeks about the internet going out for a few seconds while she is working on her computer and zoom/teams calls dropping. I have tried restarting both the router and my modem with no success. I have not changed any settings or my set-up. Any ideas on a fix?Thank you
Juan Camilo Posted 13 hours ago Author Posted 13 hours ago Thank you for the access to the latest firmware. I will install it and make some tests. I didn't change anything regarding settings, until I started to play with the R3 versions. The ISP modem brand is a Skyworth GN543V. It looks like my ISP can't set that modem as bridge, so they offered me a DMZ so that's what I'm using. I will also be testing out the issue with others routers that I owned in the past, so I can have more options to determine better if it's an issue by my ISP or the R3 itself. Thank you guys Netduma Fraser 1
