Hi Fraser,

The other day I went back to the XR1000 to update it to the latest firmware. After performing a factory reset, I connected via Wi-Fi to complete the setup, but I’m unable to get far enough through the setup wizard to finish the configuration as the connection keeps dropping out.

I’ve also tried several different browsers/websites and cleared the cache, but I’m still experiencing the same issue with the connection dropping. From memory, this was never a problem before.

I don’t currently have a USB-C Ethernet adapter, but I may need to buy one and try completing the wizard setup via a wired connection to see if that resolves the issue. Any idea?

Is it dropping out when you change the WiFi details? If so you'll need to reconnect to the WiFi using the new details and then you can continue. If not, try setting up via the Nighthawk mobile app instead

Hi Fraser

No, I haven’t changed the WiFi details — I’m still using the details shown in the picture. I’ll download the Nighthawk mobile app and give that a try later today.

I tried setting it up using the Nighthawk mobile app as well, but I still can’t get past the step where it tries to detect the internet connection. It just loads

I tried again via 192.168.1.1. Both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks are showing, but it still can’t get past the “Set Up Your WiFi” step before the connection drops out.

I think give it another factory reset and try again as it shouldn't be cutting out at that point without changing the details, if that doesn't work you will need to access via ethernet unfortunately
