Darrenf111 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Hi I always used my netduma to geo fence to NA servers I’m from EU , I’ve recently got back on the game and the geo fence will not work , I use custom polygon mode on geo filter and I never had a issue before but not it will not find a lobby and I have the whole of North America selected in my polygon, I have the latest firmware and the same settings as before and I have followed the steps I seen on previous posts and it still doesn’t work
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 6 hours ago Administrators Posted 6 hours ago It's purpose isn't to force servers much further away and the game may not want to put you on them if it means your ping will be much higher. To force servers you need to do the following: It's essential the Geo-Filter is enabled before the game client (e.g. Steam etc) if on PC or platform (e.g. Xbox, PlayStation) or the game have been launched. If you change Geo-Filter settings when you're on the game then you will need to restart the game for those changes to take effect, otherwise it will use the previous Geo-Filter settings and appear not to be working. For settings ensure Ping Assist and Geo-Latency are disabled in the Geo-Filter menu that can be found by clicking ⋮ in the top right hand corner of the page and go to Settings. Strict Mode should also be enabled, it is enabled by default so if you haven't disabled it you can ignore it. If you have disabled it or want to check it can be found in the same Settings menu as above or in Settings > Troubleshooting > Advanced > Developer Options depending on your firmware version. Fast Search should also be disabled which it is by default so can be ignored if you haven't changed it, otherwise this can be found in the same place.
Darrenf111 Posted 5 hours ago Author Posted 5 hours ago Thanks for your help , I have tried these settings and it’s still not working for some reason , my friend also has a r3 and his is working fine , it’s queing me at the right ping but it won’t find a lobby . It always did before and it still is for my friend
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 5 hours ago Administrators Posted 5 hours ago Are you able to force specific servers in the EU with the Geo-Filter without any issues?
Darrenf111 Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago No it’s trying to connect me to servers outside my polygon even tho there not in my radius so therefore it’s not finding a lobby in my area I think this is the issue
Darrenf111 Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago See it’s trying to connect to Dublin even tho the polygon is on NA
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 4 hours ago Administrators Posted 4 hours ago Disable Geo-Latency in Geo-Filter settings but also that is an authentication server required for online play - you can't play without it
Darrenf111 Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago It still don’t work it’s bugging I dunno how to fix it my friend has the exact same settings and his works
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 3 hours ago Administrators Posted 3 hours ago Your screenshot looks like it is working, there is an allowed icon within your radius so it's not actively blocking you, the game just doesn't want to place you in a game there for some reason. If you can't get servers in your own area either then there may be servers that need to be allowed - like the one in Ireland. Do you get a game easily in your area with the Geo-Filter disabled?
