Hi there,

We needed to add an extender to the house because the R3's Wi-Fi isn't reaching our upstairs rooms.

I have installed the TP-Link extender, but it is showing the device offline!

My son connects to this for his Xbox, etc., and his downloading games is showing unknown traffic, yet the Xbox is showing up in the priority devices, which I added.

Is it normal for the extender not to show in the network tree as offline?

Yes that's normal as the extender itself isn't actually using any traffic, it's just a bridge essentially for the devices connected to it to connect directly to the router, that's why the Xbox shows like it is connected directly to the router. However, as it's not directly connected it may struggle to read the traffic properly though it could just be that we need to update the detection for whatever games you're playing
